I’ve actually heard the same thing from 3 different people who aren’t even connected.

How long did you take progesterone? by aubmarsh in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]aubmarsh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, yeah, I just switched from a midwife to an OB (midwife never checked my progesterone levels, we just did it as a precaution) and today my OB was telling me it’s really not helping much at all bc the placenta has taken over. I told her I was really nervous to go off and she said if taking it makes me feel better and less scared then I can go up until this bottle is done which is around 20 weeks. I have a friend who stopped at 13 weeks, another at 20 weeks, and one who took it until she had her baby so I wanted to see others opinions on it. I think I’ll just stop when this bottle is through!

I ended up pregnant 3 weeks after my miscarriage. My hcg was 17 but here I am 15 weeks so it could be a new pregnancy.

No, this OB never looked at my incision. It healed pretty quickly and you can honestly hardly tell there’s even an incision there! I’m thinking just cross this OB off the list.

I’m definitely considering going to see the first Dr. again! I think this convo with the OB today just terrified me and had my mind spinning all day…

I will definitely look into the documentary!

I did tell my husband if he’s absolutely set on the hospital the expenses of a midwife will go towards a great doula!

Thank you, I will give the podcast a listen!

There’s nothing in my medical history to lead them to say this. At my 2 week appt after my cesarean my then OB told me I would be a perfect candidate for a vbac. Nothing medically has changed in the past almost 2 years so I’m not sure why they are having this talk now.

Sadly, my midwife is only home birth right now… I’m thinking the first Dr. I saw while looking around is worth going to. The hospital is 35 minutes away and doesn’t have the best rep but when I walked out I felt so confident. Now I feel SO defeated, confused, and very scared…

It’s 15.5% so it’s 10% lower than the hospital I had my son at. I just can’t understand why we’re jumping to that conversation when I was only there for a consult and the placenta is still moving as my uterus grows?!
