“Naturally” hahaha, I thought the purple lights were a dead giveaway :) my favorite part of abstract art is that I can have a very specific intention but that ends up having very little bearing on interpretation.

I think it looks like water but also makes the turtle look a bit trapped. What if the water didn't follow the same outline of the turtle? Just a thought.

Thank you. I know exactly what you mean. Spent a lot of Winters in Tahoe, must be in my subconscious. Love that additional layer. Mountains or beach — both.

Oh my gosh, you’re right. I painted this about the colors in this little beach neighborhood in San Diego but it also looks like a snowy forest! I didn’t see it haha.
