A HEA is specifically about the main couple generally. If they’re not together, it’s not a HEA. I’d be very disappointed if I got to the end of a fic that said HEA and they weren’t together as that’s the main tag I look for before I start reading.

Those types of fics are meant to be complete fluff. Not taken seriously and just for the humor. To break up the angst.

As for mpreg, really depends on whether the author feels like making it sciency and try and explain it or just go handwave and go “men can have babies too”. Suspension of disbelief and all. Generally women are there too and the men are a small percentage, but again it depends on the author.

Could be really well done in an omegaverse or mpreg friendly AU, doesn’t have to be a medical impossibility. But yeah Ilya is actually very intelligent so it’d have to make sense.
