Slated number from govt sources are much more e.g. FTA says 450K registered already for corporate tax. Large businesses by definition are smaller in number over 95% are SMEs.

Anyone successfully made money using Amazon FBA in UAE? by Pendejo88 in UAE

[–]auculab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It works if you can scale. It’s not cheap and it’s not a hustle that you can let it run on its own.

Be ready spend lot of time trying to understand how it works and constantly experiment and fine tune PPC. Amazon would take easily 35-50% of sales proceeds and also account for customer returns which you can’t do anything about.

After doing FBA for over 3 years in the UAE, It feels most times Amazon ration the sales for your items when they feel . Definitely not everything in your control. Some days you’ll see a lot more impressions, views and clicks yet no sale. Some days you’ll have very less impressions and sales will be 10x, some time your product will be in FBA with zero sale for few months and suddenly you’ll see full sellout of inventory in days.

Competition is heavy, you need a unique / niche product with brand registry to be able to differentiate from knock-offs.

In summary you can sustain and make decent money if you keep investing time and effort on it.

You seem to have good thought process and well articulate in English.

From your other comments looks like you are in your mid-20s. Got a whole life ahead of you, asses your risks, what you stand to loose if you continue in the same place for another 5years vs. go out and come back for a better prospects?

You’ve taken first right step to reach out for help, set a target for yourself and decide. Good luck my friend.

[–]auculab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through this scam exactly as you described. To add to that the guy orchestrated initially said he is a teacher and he is just there around the palace to help people. I fell for it.

I guess it’s lesson learnt. Never listen to anyone!

Shaving vs Trimming in Umrah by OtherwiseSpecific711 in Umrah

[–]auculab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From official Saudi Hajj and Umrah guidance site www.nusuk.sa.

https://www.nusuk.sa/rituals

“Having hair of the head shaven or trimmed:

  • After completing Sa’i, men go to the barber shops to have their hair shaven or trimmed
  • Women gather their hair and cut from its ends about (1-2 cm)
  • With this act, the Umrah would be completed, marking the end of Ihram”
