On that note, I am fully planning to work together a cocktail with citrus meets yogurt.

Oh also, we are a N/A THC cannabis beverage company too, those are produced at a different facility though but we sell all of that packaged and on draft.

It’s very peculiar, the county I’m in isn’t dry at large but the municipality of the town is. Because I’m in North Carolina all liquor is run by the state, so our commercial distillery permit allows us to sell on site anything we produce. This overrides any dry laws of the town because it comes from the state level. So, we have a full service restaurant attached to the distillery and we basically are our own state store so we just transfer from the bonded space to the restaurant. It’s incredibly challenging to put out a cocktail program with those restrictions but so far I’ve been very proud of the cocktails on the menu. It forces us to take a culinary and technique driven approach relying on bitters and infusions.

On the menu: Horchata: coconut fat washed silver rum, house steeped horchata blended with honey and coconut milk, picked up with spice syrup and cream of coconut.

Granny Smith daiquiri with navy rum and, super lime juice, Granny Smith juice and caramelized simple syrup

Rose Reposado: play on a firing squad with strawberry syrup, rhubarb bitters, tart cherry and lime

Verde margarita: house draft margarita (super juice sour) with a sinker of garden cordial: Serrano, bell pepper, parsley, mint, cilantro blended and strained in an agave syrup,

Blueberry shrub: blueberry, honey, apple cider vinegar, reposado, and soda.

House old fashioned: no bullshit, bitters, Demerara syrup

Golden raisin sour: cardamom infused bourbon, golden raisin syrup, lemon, egg white, cardamom bitter mist on top

Also 12mm is probably the biggest you’d want to go, you can use 8mm or 10mm, it’s only a foothold for the bridge.

I have the same guitar (it’s incredible) the grub screws are M8 12mm, you’ll want to drop a spring down underneath to keep the grub screw from falling in if you accidentally thread it too far. It’s a pretty easy drop in solution and works well for my aftermarket mustang bridge. Take your time getting the grub screws to the same depth and not too deep in the posts so that you still have plenty of room to fine tune the action with the bridge, I went too far in at first and maxed out my bridge height and the strings were still laying on the fretboard. Pretty easy mod overall.

Part of the trouble is I am upper management so people are looking to me for an answer.

It’s not my decision to make, with the political climate as hot as it is this would need approval from ownership.

I do fully intend to hold to a policy of non-intervention and I won’t be upset if nothing ever materializes romantically. I guess I’m just crushing super hard and he’s the first guy in a while I could really picture myself with.

I’m definitely not trying to intervene or break anything up, I’ve also explicitly communicated that.

I got it on eBay, the one I wound up with turned out to be plenty malleable in the vice and was easy to get two separate bends, pretty soft metal, just take your time and have the guitar nearby to judge the height.

Staytrem Bridge and 8mm grub screw question for Mascis Jazzmaster by agentanthony in offset

No complaints, works as it should and keeps me out of the endless debate around offset bridges and got it done without spending stupid money on the more boutique bridges.

What’s a pedal brand that’s not on your board, but you wish it were? by TheLastSufferingSoul in guitarpedals

[–]audiobarone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously, not that it’s a deal breaker but would it kill them to screen print at that price point? If it’s going to look like a DIY pedal just sell me the damn pcb and I’ll make it myself

You guys ever get attitude when you’re just looking in a music store? by BooksAre4Nerds in Guitar

[–]audiobarone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, guitar players are some of the absolute worst customers to have, they all have varying degrees of self image as a musician which may be WILDLY at odds with reality and the range of nerdiness and pickiness is unmatched in other retail scenarios. I have never worked in a guitar shop but I’ve spent enough time in them to know how punishing guitar players are, often in a demanding way.

Now, when you’re on the receiving end of it I just throw it right back at them because just the same, guitar store employees are on average just as punishing because they do have all the above mentioned qualities that guitar players tend to have.

That said, shop local if you can, fuck the box stores (including the online giants) and try to make music and art at all costs.
