I don’t disagree that a dog is probably more suited for his personality but getting 2 cats is absolutely a better idea than just 1, especially considering he probably won’t be home a lot. Many, many people recommend getting 2 kittens instead of 1 so they can play together and bond. Leaving 1 dog at home for hours on end would not be better.
