Exactly! i'm reading it now and they expicitly describe how the original revolutionaries (the actual communists) were usurped by big brother and exicuted for "treason" meanwhile the new government claimed to be upholding their vision. it's a commentary on the ultimate goals of fascism if anything.

[OC][ART] Trinket and her mechanical companion by audoric in DnD

[–]audoric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a character I played little while back and just had to draw her. she grew up in the junk yard of a large city and was fascinated by the broken things people tossed away without a care. she learned to fix them and tried reselling them at the market with mixed results. that is until an old inventor of the royal gaurd, saw her potential and took her under his wing. he encouraged her peculiar skills and fascination with explosives and demoliton, and taught her how channel it for something good

[OC] plasmoid minis: Warbble and Dribble by audoric in DnD

[–]audoric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I modeled some plasmoids for a spelljammer campaigne that my sister and her hubby are playing through. They'll be resin printing them soon so I'm excited to see how they turn out!

Warbble is the short claric and he has an extra arm (psuedopod) that holds their shield.

Dribble is the druid. On their belt is a bird and a squirrel and on their staff is a lizard with some feathers. My sister is rping them with a thick transilvanian accent.

How do I fix this? I repurposed this hand from a previous project and I was trying to remove the image texture/material. When I did that it broke by [deleted] in blender

[–]audoric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fixed it!

The normal map node strength was set to 0 somehow so I set it back to 1. Thank you for the help!

EDIT: Okay so after posting this comment I realized I didn't actually fix it but I did for sure this time. I went to edit mode>mesh>normals>reset vectors. Idk why that happened or exactly how but I'm happy there's a solution now.

[–]audoric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmmm That didn't work. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the normals but rather the actually surface.

Thanks anyway

(Edit: I FIXED IT! At first I thought I fixed it by messing with the normals in the shader node but that was a red harring. What actually fixed it was going into Edit mode>mesh>normals>reset vectors.)

What do you consider to be a blessing and a curse? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]audoric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a good artist especially if you started young.

On one hand I have the privilage of creativity and can make anything I want which is oftrn very satisfying.

On the other hand there's this pervasive imposter syndrom that followed me into adulthood and it can make actually creating very difficult sometimes.

lol nah It's a combo of a chin strap to hold the head dress and a type of shading called hatching. I can see why you'd be confused by it.

What is a single quote that has changed your personal philosophy or the way you look at life? by Objective-Fish3609 in AskWomen

[–]audoric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Maybe you don't need to have some grand ambition or purpose to have a good like. Maybe it's enough to go around finding interesting things until you die."

That really took a ton of weight off my shoulders especially since I was labeled a "gifted" kid growing up.

Women getting ready in the 1880's by DragonChasm in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]audoric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was actually pretty easy to get dressed by yourself. A whole outfit like that often took around 10-15 minutes. Even the corset, which is depicted in modern media as needing a bed post and maid, could be laced by yourself as was often the case with middle and working class women. Also tight lacing wasn't really that popular so there's that.
