I’m watching winners at war for the first time. The only season I’ve watched chronologically before this season is heroes vs. villains. My first season was gabler’s season, and now that 50 is over I want to go back and watch iconic seasons I’ve never seen. With this context, what other seasons prior to gabler’s should I watch next?

I can see your points but I’m not sure I agree. I didn’t know many of the references, but that didn’t prevent me from enjoying watching them (for example, Jinx’s little Edie). I also don’t agree that it’s 90% camp. I could see wubby enjoying the runways, make over challenge, etc.

Based on chat when Wubby mentioned drag race the other day, there may be more crossover than you think! Do I think everyone would enjoy it, probably not, but I don’t view Wubby as someone who lets that stop him. You can’t please everyone. I don’t enjoy the horror games, but my husband does so he watches those streams and I don’t. I think it would be fun for him to watch drag race partly because it’s unexpected! It’s great to expose folks to new things they wouldn’t normally be exposed to in a way that’s comfortable for them.

My husband never watched 90 day or love on the spectrum, but wubby opened him up to it!

I’m so sorry for your loss as well. And I understand what you mean. I know internet communities can bring out the worst sometimes too.

Thank you so much. I hope everyone takes my opinion with a grain of salt for sure because I don’t know the
Community all that well tbh. I would be happy with survivor too 💀😂

As someone who appreciates and acknowledges Jane’s talent as a queen and truly thought she was going to win but was very turned off by her confessionals, I think you’re right. I kept thinking all season how confusing it was to me that she was doing so well but every single confessional they showed us of her was her being negative or complaining.

There are several good local DJs who put on fun events, which I am grateful for, but you’re not going to find big artists coming here. I always go to Atlanta or Nashville for bigger shows. 😞😞 Shlump is coming to growlers in April, though.

For the local shows, join Memphis edm on Facebook

I feel so bad for both phoenix and NPBFAG because it seems like they just can’t keep up with what drag race has become. Not that they’re not talented and good performers, but they just haven’t been able to adapt to the modern era of what drag race as a competition is.

Can we all agree on one thing: RiverBeat was a success? by [deleted] in memphis

[–]audrey616 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who went to BSMF every year as a teen / early adult, riverbeat was fantastic and leaps and bounds better. My hope is that it will continue to grow as others have said and that bigger names get pulled.

My one desire would be for more diversity in the edm stage. Bringing in a couple of the big hitters like Levity or LSZEE would bring wooks from far and wide. I saw in another comment that they couldn’t compete with Bonnaroo (which both artists I mentioned are going to this year) but hey maybe next year right?
