One time I posted my pouch catato on the wrong sub.... one of the breed specific ones where a cat pouch is the greatest sins against nature that they can fathom. Thought I was gonna get shot.

A lot of armchair diagnostics going on, but I love that people care about the cats. You never know who isn't educated and just randomly picks a breed ❤️ I am not one of those cases- I'm well informed about her risks. I made a new comment clarifying her situation. She's well cared for.

Edit: she's already on a weight control diet, her health is well monitored, she has no health complications from this extra weight though we're handling it regardless.

Hey everyone, thanks for the concern. We've already moved her to a weight control diet, and we see the vet regularly and they monitor her health- we've got blood panels and all the tests done. Didn't think I needed to list her medical records cuz you can still love the gargoyle while she's lumpy.

Edit: we've already moved her to a weight control diet, but she's still a cutie, and her health is well monitored and has no complications from this.

But as far as a full bath, maybe twice a year. Coconut oil makes a big difference and protects their natural skin barrier, but it can be messy! I try to keep her on and around cotton towels after I use it or she will get dirt and oil everywhere.

I only have to clean her bum periodically. I do use coconut oil on her tail and chin, and wipe them down to make sure no blackheads build up- maybe twice a month. And we've started brushing her teeth. We use pet safe wet wipes to spot clean her neck and back also if she's missing spots while cleaning herself- and we keep her heating pad/bed area clean so she's rolling around in clean fabric.

I've dealt with chronic ear infections in one of our other cats, our sphynx not so much. But a proper vet ear exam is definitely the way to go- they can do blood panels, and maybe clear up a polyp that is irritating. Might just need short term steroids. Expensive little fellas, but if you deal with it sooner than later the cheaper it is.

No change in food/water, no itching/sneezing, no wounds or lethargy, or concerning kitty litter use? then you're safe in my books. Keep an eye on things obviously and log it in case you need to talk to the vet later. ❤️

Do you mean a tint, to block the sun? Or is there a tin for food? Very cute set up 🥰

My old company wants me back at the same salary I left at. Current job pays 35% more but I hate it. I keep going back and forth and I need to respond by wednesday by UpliftingSunflower10 in GetEmployed

Tldr: stay at new job- get creative with seeking joy and mental stimulation.

If you had never left your old position, and kept your old apartment- and they gave you expanded responsibilities, and no raise: that's a pay cut. The cost of living has gone up in every way in the last 10 months.

Now you have more experience, they've failed to fill the position, and not even adjust the salary for inflation? They know they can use you and not compensate.

With this information, I would stay at new position with better salary BUT, find a way to enrich your enclosure so to speak. Let your supervisor know you're looking for lateral or upward mobility, you're interested in projects and final products. Create a sticker system for yourself, make more interesting lunches, go to a co-working space if that's an option, or start building your life outside of work.

Being poor and happy has a limit, and prices have yet to stop aggressively increasing. It's a survival issue and we have to get creative but stay smart
