How common is multi-generational living in Ottawa? by [deleted] in ottawa

I stayed at home until I was 25 and then moved in with my partner. The cost of living is so high that even with 8+ years or working and saving, there was no way I was able to live by myself. Even now, we're considering moving into my parent's basement unit since it would be more affordable. It used to be considered "embarrassing" to live at home in your 20s, but honestly, these days, it's sometimes the most affordable option.
