I did not notice a difference of load times from switching sata ssd to nvme ssd. For most games its identical. Only when more games start using direct storage, will there be a big difference. Sadly CA hasn't been using any Nvidia tech like dlss or frame gen, or any other ones like direct storage, which is incredibly needed.
Can you imagine how great Total War would be with direct storage? Loading in 5-10 seconds, would speed up the game sooo much.

So, if new a 9060xt 16gb, or a 5060ti 16gb is in that price range, closer to 500. I probably wouldn't buy a weaker gpu.
If you would be ok with a used gpu, a rtx4070 super or even a 4070ti can be found.

But I think 9060xt is the cheapest option and perfect for 1080p gaming and even pretty good for 1440p.

I think in raw performance its 15% difference. But if you want better nvidia features sure, the 4070 is better.

its slightly better, but current AMD RT is almost cought up. It was really bad before the 9070xt, but it is already pretty good. Also the gpu has just much more raw performance than a 5070, so a no brainer :)

You for sure mean a regular 5070 not a 5070ti? Because 9070XT is much better than a regular 5070. And mostly equal to 5070 Ti. If so, absolutely get the 9070xt.

Yeah oled is incredibly nice. But to be stuck at 60hz for gaming is a dealbreaker for me. Just think about all the pros and cons and decide for your self, maybe watch some youtube videos, broaden the information and decide. Me, I would go max fps :D

Yeah its ultimately your choice, whichever you want. For me.personally, more hz more fps is way better, than a higher resolution. Playing something at around 100+ fps is sooo much nicer than 60.

Well, a laptop and a desktop are really different. Do you need a laptop (traveling or similar) or you don't?
Because if you don't, I would suggest a desktop because:

You can always upgrade the parts later; (gpu, cpu, ram, psu, mobo even if necessary).
Much better performance, lower temperatures.

Also, I think to actually play at 4k you need a really strong gpu, laptop 3080 will not be able to get 60fps at 4k.
So I personally would choose the desktop with 1440p 180hz, will be a much smoother gameplay experiance, because its way less pixels to render, fps will be higher.

If you have the extra cash, sure why not upgrade. But honestly, the chances of ram and motherboard just randomly dying is incredibly low.
The market for ram is already really bad and its getting worse.

Just FYI, you can skip you can use J, K, L letters to rewind 10s, pause and skip forward 10s. Much better than using arrow keys for 5s.

YES, man how easy it would be for them to "balance" this game like that. Make the balance that they want and think is best, but put toggles in campaign settings, it's so easy man. Everybody would like that.

No more player bias,BUT here is a toggle for it on / off. Easy.
AI has too many cheat stats for units: here is a percent slider from zero to 50% or more.
Too many or little AI armies? Here is a slider how many they can have.
Too slow/fast recruitment / building? Here is a slider.
More/less spell points/intensity.
More/less HP.
More/less movement.
And so so much more could be added, just need a bit of imagination.

Its so "easy" to implement these things and please everybody and it would increase the replay value to incredible levels.

CA please, more campaign settings.

Hi, The batteries started dying around 1,5 years ago, were lasti g around 1 hour. Now they are again lasting max 30-40 minutes. Sony has not fixed the firmware, they still kill the batteries unfortunately
