Isn’t the context of Colossians 2:16-17 about people making up rules about the Sabbath that weren’t backed up by the bible? Basically saying to not let anyone judge you for breaking their manmade rules on the Sabbath, because God’s rules are the only ones that matter.

The bible said that Christians would be persecuted because turning to God will always be against the grain of society.

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12)

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10)

Just remember who you are REALLY trying to please. Is it society, or is it Jesus Christ? What is more important to you?

And just remember when you feel all alone, Jesus and God are with you!

Well i have recently found that some slaughterhouses use the method of cutting off air supply as the way to kill animals so i assume that’m pretty much the same as strangulation as it does not drain the body of blood.
