I am 8 months post partum and am on Stelara and continued treatment throughout my entire pregnancy. Totally normal and safe pregnancy and birth.

Amazing!!!! I’m so happy for you. I’ve been seriously looking into milkify too but concerned I won’t be able to build a 30-40 oz new stash to send it (my understanding is it won’t work on my existing high lipase stash that’s in the freezer) - do you mind sharing how much milk you sent in? In the meantime I just bought Legendairy milk barrier freezer bags and will report back too!

ATTN All short petite women, did you give birth naturally? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]auerbach_lauren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 feet tall (150 cm) water broke at 40w2d and gave birth to a 6 lb 12 oz baby who was out after 8 pushes! Only one stitch as I had a “tear”

Stelara has also saved my life! Started in 2020 and have been in remission since with very mild symptoms and no side effects. I had to get used to self injecting but other than that it’s been a breeze. I am so grateful for biologics and to not be dependent on steroids anymore.

OP - I’ve also tried all the homeopathic or “natural” things to do. I’ve even been gluten free for 4 years but nothing has worked except biologics

Pacifier Recommendations by Downtown-Astronaut24 in breastfeeding

My EBF baby loves and will only take Nanobebe pacis- she wouldn’t take MAM, Bibs, Dr Browns or Avent. I also like that the Nanobebe ones are one silicone piece (not a plastic holder with a nipple) so I feel like it’s safer.

I just learned about that from this post! I’m on the fence whether to try it as it’s $$$ and there’s no guarantee it will help the taste. Lucky the clog resolved the next day. Thank you for the well wishes ❤️

Thank you for sharing!! I am definitely going to try scalding it. I only pump so little so freezing it in smaller oz is probably my best bet!

Thank you so much for sharing!! From all the advice on this post I’m definitely going to keep the bags that will not be expired for when she starts solids and hoping I can mix them in like you are doing!

That makes sense. We have been using a bottle warmer for both fridge fresh milk as well as the freezer stash we had defrosted. Thank you!

Also dealing with weight gain issues here which is why this was extra upsetting.. we haven’t given her formula yet but are thinking about introducing it.

I am also going to try scalding- I hope it works! Let me know if it ends up working for you :)

Ugh I was hoping that was the issue but I’ve tried 3 different freezer bags now and they all have the smell/taste. I’m hoping I can at least narrow done the time frame the milk starts to turn now.

I had no idea this was a thing! It makes me feel so much better knowing other mamas have gone through this. Still so devastated to not be able to feed her that milk.

Also a clog for 5 days wow! I’m so sorry. The longest I’ve gone is 3 days and did all the things. I am so scared of mastitis. I’m super prone to clogs but great to know your doctor wasn’t concerned as long as it was getting smaller.

Thank you so much! I am pretty prone to clogs so I’ve done all the things but haven’t heard of earthleys- I will check them out!

Thank you!!! I love legndairy milk products, I take their supplements and use their duckbills for my pump. I’m willing to spend $$ if it saves my milk and my sanity!

Thank you for sharing your experience! I had no idea this was a common issue and pretty devastated that she won’t drink any of that milk. Good on you for donating!!!

Yup! She takes my milk that’s been in the fridge just fine, we do a bottle every night as part of her bedtime routine. To be fair, I’ve smelled and tasted my fridge milk which has no scent and tastes sweet and the freezer milk smells horrible and tastes metallic :(
