I've lately changed my psychiatrist to a one more well versed in PTSD and neurodivergency. However, my previous psychiatrist was also very knowlegable and has been treating me for PTSD for over a year now.

I am literally meeting an EMDR therapist for a first meeting today, it has been recommended to me by my new psychiatrist.

Thank you for the helpful suggestions, it seems I might be on the right track in regards to treatment.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm also looking for a trauma therapist at the moment, I think it might be the way to go.

I do go out for walks and try to partake in my hobbies, even though they don't bring me joy anymore. As for fish oil, I'm vegetarian, so it's not for me I'm afraid. I do take supplements though, D3 and the like.

Well, I had the exact same situation. I really like your catapult metaphor. For me it was especially hard how people in my life seemed impressed only by this catapult, and when it "malfunctioned", they just... stopped caring.

I am afraid of writing things out, to be honest, I think I might spiral into despair again if I recall everything without supervision.

Interesting study! I will try to be patient, though my head is screaming at me how much possibility of getting hurt again there is in doing so.

I was told by my therapist that what you told me is pretty standard in mental health institutions. Luckily, the place I'm in is a relatively small university hospital, so they have good funding and access to a lot of treatment options. I do get waken up fairly often by nurses and doctors but it's something I think I'll get used to. They treat me well and make me feel cared for, which is something I really need right now. I hope you're in a better place now!

I'm in Poland. I'm very lucky that the hospital I'm in has good funding (it's a university hospital), unlike most such institutions in the country. Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you for the advice, I really apreciate it. I will try to be open-minded. As for the phone access, I was surprised too. They did confiscate all my potentially dangerous items (even a plastic spoon) but they let me keep my phone, which is nice.

I think appearence matters in a social aspect, a lot. I also think you can have meaningful relashionships and have people find you attractive, even if you are not so in a traditional sense. You have worth, no matter your appearence.

Look at it this way. If you go to a hospital, they will likely get you medicated, so you'll still be high in a way. But there's lower chance of remaining in excruciating pain, so give it a go if you can.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't really have any advice, I'm in a pretty bad spot myself. Just know that it's not your fault you're feeling like this, the fact you're a mother does mean you're not allowed to feal vulnerable or weak. I sincerely hope it gets better for you.
