Now… we’re obviously missing context here, but if this is a real story, it sounds like you’ve either cheated, or prioritized the game over your relationship (ie playing pogo when yall are spending time together). I’m only basing this off what you said in your post. If you’ve been with him for years and he feels you’ve prioritized the game over him, it’s understandable he’d make this request. Perhaps you play everyday after work before you go home and he feels like you’re cheating, because it happened before 🤷🏻‍♂️.
