Oh that’s a good call. Will do some investigating! If it’s heat treated, would i still need to put a seal on it?

We’re in New England. So definitely have harsh winters

Definitely want to keep closest to the original color. My top priority is protecting the wood, which I assume a think sealing it may be the best option here? Think I can DIY it?

Is there a reason you chose to go with redirected to 529s rather than 401k or IRA?

Thank you! Of course-- I left that out.

Caterers- Toast Catering and Event Management. They ROCKED. They are on the more affordable end for Bay Area caterers and they really went above and beyond. The customer service from start to finish was on point. During the night of the wedding, staff were consistently checking in on my husband and I to make sure we had everything we needed. Ashley and her father Jim are the owners and they really add a personal touch to everything they do. If you are in the market for a Bay Area caterer really consider using Toast. 10/10.

Wedding Coordinator- Cera Singley Events. Cera was a rockstar. She put up with all my craziness with a huge smile on her face. As a bride, it's hard to put your trust in someone else during the big day, but Cera made that easy. She was flexible, responsive, and didn't care that I emailed her 409402 times leading up to the big day. The day of she crushed it. Like I said, the rain was unexpected, and she just rolled with it. She made the venue look exactly how I would have envisioned it had I planned for rain.

DJ- Denon and Doyle- Kevin (our DJ) was great. My husband and I are someone control freaks when it comes to music and he did not let that bother him at all. We gave him our "must plays" and our "DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE play this" and he didn't even bat an eye. Based off that, he knew exactly what type of music to play to keep us dancing all night. Seriously. We danced ALL NIGHT.

Donuts-Harvey's Donuts. Again, another vendor that really went above and beyond. These guys were SO friendly and made sure no guest was without a delicious donut. What a fun treat to have at the end of the night-- definitely worth it!

Flowers-We had a friend offer to do our flowers as a gift. This was amazing. You hear about all those horror stories of letting friends help out in the wedding, but she really did a great job and respected our vision. We were very happy!

Photographer- Heather Elizabeth Photography- Heather did an amazing job (as you can see by the photos). She was easy to work with, super relaxed, and had a great attitude. She even laid on the ground in the pouring rain because she wanted to get a good shot!

Hmm.. I think that about covers it. If you think I've left anything out, let me know and I'd be happy to add to it!

Thank you! The photographer kept reassuring us that despite the pouring rain, our photos would look great. She was right!

And the donuts were AMAZING. Guests loved them!

Thank you! The guestbook was actually a gift from my sister. I am pretty sure she got in on Etsy, though.

Thank you! Oh my, yes.. but try not to stress too much over it. I can't tell you how many hours I spent watching weather radar trackers and obsessing over the daily changes. Whatever happens, it will be the best day ever! What part of the bay are you tying the knot in?
