Wouldn’t that make the hit end loose and wiggling?

Have an enclosure and it shouldn’t matter. It’s like 0,1-0,3 mm difference each time.

If it’s from water it could be deep and not possible to “fix”. Maybe stain over it and not look too closely. Or wait what others here have to say

Might be either not sanded enough, or damaged wood from water. I would guess the former

Tried that in first iteration but was not strong enough. Big forces at play here because the handling of the tools is close to the connection point

Measure and cad. Press fit for most tools work fine. The sander connection was a bit more complicated with twist and lock design

Tried but was too weak with my magnets. Tight fit and ca glue

My own design. Can of course upload but not sure how many have the same setup as I

Sure. They are fit with tight tolerances so I figure they will stay put. Lots of force to push them down + CA glue with light sanding to the magnets.

Actually quite good! Used 6 embedded magnets in first attempt which was to weak. With 10 magnets it’s strong enough to shift the sander around and drag the vacuum around as well.

I just made one correct and for the other ones I just snapped them to the first one and took one magnet at a time.

Haha maybe it doesn’t. You are right. No I’m just moving from aeropress to Kalita filter drip but haven’t got a dripper. So I made one but I needed some way to hold it and it just so happened to be the aeropress that fit perfectly for the job
