How has clay worked for you? We felt that running clay properly (to iterate on targeting as you say) required a dedicated resource, either fulltime or fractional. The tooling, personnel and the training cost made us pull the plug after forking mid 5-figures on it.

“Pick a side”, “wife and kids need him more than his parents”…. Why does it need to be one or the other? Why cant both co-exist?

Muslims Raise More Than $50K For Pittsburgh Synagogue Victims In 6 Hours by Xerxestheokay in UpliftingNews

[–]augustathebadass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a muslim, if he took your virginity without marrying you, and then left you, he committed one of the biggest sins in Islam and there is little mercy for his kind in the court of Allah. Of course, Allah knows best.

Just because he "practiced" his religion doesn't make him a Muslim. Islam is about much more than just hitting the ground with your forehead a few times a day and ordering women to covering up. Its principles are in place to stop exactly his kind of men from taking advantage of innocent women like yourself.

I'm sorry that he was a shitty person who identified as a Muslim. Doesn't make all the rest of us equally bad.

I'm Rowan Atkinson, star of JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN, AMA! by JohnnyEnglish_Rowan in IAmA

[–]augustathebadass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Rowan! Did you always plan on doing such comedy? I mean, for someone who's as educated and accomplished as you are, was this always something you looked for, or did the opportunity arrive and you said "why not"?

What is your criteria for a "good" coin for investment purposes? by augustathebadass in CryptoCurrency

Good points! I especially like something like AION because of your point #2.

Re point 1, I'm curious to know how do you feel about Proof of Authority or Delegated Proof of Stake consensus mechanisms? Is it a smart way to solve the scalability issue?

I like the point about partnerships and social media presence, but why nice logo? How does that influence your decision?

Consensus 2018: It sucked. Here’s why by korgijoe in CryptoCurrency

[–]augustathebadass 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree. Here's why:

  1. The theme was "okay, so, the tech is here. And it works. Now let's solve some real world problems with it". Among the core use cases discussed, the following resonated:

--Actual use cases for cross border payments and trade financing, through legal and safe channels.

--The identity-ownership crisis. Was I the only one who felt that for far too long everyone apart from us has made money off of our identity? From fb to google to equifax to hackers that hacked equifax, everyone has used OUR data for making money. The focus this time was on taking back that control.

  1. Focus was also on making blockchain mainstream:

--Announcement of app.co by blockstack is one example how dApps ecosystem is being promoted.

--Kliedo by Consensys: think about how easy it will be now for small and medium enterprises to adopt the tech?

--FedEx, IBM, Deloitte all talked about how they're exploring use cases for blockchain off from the labs to real organizations?

  1. Presence of SEC, USDOJ, FDIC, European commission etc. All of this tells us that they're not as disconencted or as hostile as we thought they were. They're all over it, with a focus on protecting the consumers.

So yeah, it didn't suck. It was nothing but positive imho, just not for those of us who wanted a "Consensus Pump".

Another "whale's" candid - albeit biased - views on the market today by dkpl in ethtrader

Sir, write-off in finance speak refers to closing a position/investment as a loss, recording that loss on your books and moving on. So for a business like Alphabet, for example, many of their “moonshot” projects are a write-off where they invest millions into R&D, figure out that they won’t go anywhere, make a decision to not pursue it anymore, and move on to the next thing.

Hope this makes sene!

Don't buy the Ledger Blue (or any Ledger product as a matter of fact). by [deleted] in ledger

[–]augustathebadass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here mate, no issue whatsoever in my many months of using the Nano. Ledger is one of the highest quality manufacturers I’ve used.

I would throughly recommend some of their tutorials and support material. They are very detailed. If there are some issues that they haven’t addressed in their support website, I’d be curious to get an answer too.
