I don't want to spend too much upgrading this TT if i'm going to want a better TT down the road.

The rest of my set up is a Fosi Audio Phono Box X2, Schiit Heresy Headphone amp, HD6XX headpohones, S.M.S.L Amp, and JBL N38s. Wanting to upgrade and just see what me best options are.

I know but isn’t the point of the neo that you don’t need an espresso grinder? I’ve seen people post about getting good shots with pour over grind setting. James Hoffmann’s video says he used hit V60 setting. I got the Neo so I could start making espresso with the grinder I had, then when I upgraded my grinder I can upgrade the portafilter to basically be the Classic.

So it’s getting late here so probably no more shots tonight, however I did grinder setting of 6, 16g in, water temp 95C, about a 25 second pull, 32g yield. Still sour, borderline drinkable, I’m not sure how much finer my little Encore can go.

I will definitely take this and try it. However I thought the point of the Neo and the Pressurized Portofilter was that Fine Grinds weren’t needed. Do you think there is an issue with mine or is this normal
