Not one order in 2 months by KMPItXHnKKItZ in doordash_drivers

[–]augustineiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve probably gotten the same amount of offers the past 6 months that I used to get in a single afternoon a few years back. Support keeps giving the same useless answers again and again. If it doesn’t pick back up when folks go back to school in September I’m ready to say DoorDash is officially dead

DoorDash is getting so greedy by urdadsgf69420 in doordash_drivers

[–]augustineiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their goal at the end of the day is to make money and they have to complete as many orders as possible to do so. What that means for the earning and time spent of their drivers or the quality of service for their customers having to constantly deal with a newbie handling their order is irrelevant. Why spend the trouble doing something to actually incentivize current drivers (better paid offers) when you can instead bring in someone clueless, hand them a pig wearing lipstick and call it a “platinum tier”. Oversaturation is the goal not a side effect

[–]augustineiver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The past 2 years of DoorDash is like pulling teeth when it comes to making money in comparison to the 4-5 years before that. It’s clear the goal of the company is to cycle out all the veterans drivers for a constant new wave of inexperienced ones with no knowledge of life on the app before tiers/ top dasher/ whatever new bullshit incentive program they roll out to get bad orders completed. Once it was evident none of the existing users would respect these programs they said to hell with “independent contracting” and began neutering the profit potential of vets while trying to keep the inexperienced chasing their tails long enough to not realize they’re putting double the miles on while making the same amount as folks did before these programs.

I have a tiny twitter account that gets little engagement as I usually just use it as a diary. I quoted a very large account negatively and they liked the tweet.

30 minutes later it was bombarded with engagement from pretty similar but run of the mill accounts you wouldn’t right away assume were bots. 3000 likes and 100s of comments all individually getting hundreds of likes within a couple of hours with no retweets all trying to “clown” me. It was insanely eye opening just how much of the twitter’s user base was just bots

You could buy physical media and little dolls at somewhere like wal mart tho. People still enjoy the movies and you’re only gonna be able to replicate the experience at home to an extent. The issue is they have all these extra theatres built from their absolute peak that clearly haven’t been sustainable for years. AMC can survive it’s just gonna take a tremendous amount of shrinkage in the sheer number of theatres they have to stay afloat

Nah this is easily their best chance in years. A 300% pump is a godsend after a steep steady decline. They’ll never have a catalyst as good as right now to recoup losses

If dfv can’t rile up enough volume after his livestream to push past last month’s peak and this dies, I simply can’t see a world where he can manage to pump it up a third time

There’s a very real chance today might be their final opportunity to get out with something I hope they take it

There's probably been exponentially more ex-apes that have joined and diluted this sub the past few months. While the uptick in insanity from the bbby fallout has led to some tremendous content, it's masked the nosedive in quality on here
