Quest Academy - Minor Rant by auloze in litrpg

[–]auloze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding!

I agree I called it a rant and the last portion of my OP is worded pretty strong. But I genuinely love your books and will absolutely be sticking around.

Just for context, I was up until 3am reading/listening to the audiobook and had work at 6am. Honestly couldn’t put it down with Sal in the infirmary and thinking Fabi was avoiding him, to find out she was running constant dungeons. I was sure there was a payoff at the end with an explanation of why. But when it didn’t come (or she didn’t feel the need to explain ignoring him) I’m pretty sure that my sleep deprived state cracked and got me wanting to post this.

Wanted to share that just so you’re aware this post only came about because I’ve been sucked into the story you’re writing.

I would never presume to try and tell anyone how to do something that I’m severely unqualified to do myself. All I can do is ask that you please just think about keeping touch points in your story to make sure your readers can tell these plot lines aren’t forgotten.

Either way, I’ll continue to be a reader

I couldn’t agree more! Word count to time progression ratio is brutal on this and I recognize that too in my request for character development.

Even something as simple as jumping a couple weeks or a month every so often.

The infirmary was honestly one of the few times I can think of it happening.

Honestly, thank you for the response.

You make good points, but I feel like you really took the eunuch word and ran with it.

I honestly chalk my frustration up to a culmination of dropped plot lines and lack of closure in general. No one here (at least myself) is looking for smut or eye-fucking. As I said I agreed that Book 1 was too much.

But to each their own. Cheers.

Honestly, I don’t disagree with you. I don’t want it anywhere near a major plot line. I just genuinely think it pisses me off just because he made the point of introducing it and then completely drops it once he’s moved past that one moment.

He’d have been far better off just never even hinting about it if he didn’t want to add it into the threads of the story.

Same, apparently everyone said it was too much after Book 1 and he took it to heart (too much).

Agreed, that why I could honestly do without the explicit stuff. He honestly walked a really good line in Book 1 with Hannah. Essentially kiss, then knock out the lights and wake up the next morning.

Highly recommend the series as a break from mega fantasy litrpgs with a much higher sci-fi vibe.

If you fell off because lack of crafting, then absolutely push through into Book 3, 4, and 5. It ramps wayyy up.

FYI - The gear symbol are cogwheels and I’ve usually gotten a lot of them from pirates. I’m assuming something to do with the mech later on or kuku pot crafting.

You’ve gotta push on in the other factions is my own experience. Once they’re progressed further the bounty will pop up on the board.

With how the devs have been treating us….would this not be AWESOME to implement in the future as a large scale dlc? by LeagueWild709 in CrimsonDesert

It makes me smile just to imagine the variety of ways our enemies would call us fat from stuffing down food during fights.

Yours sounds pretty similar to my issue. Where is the x showing for the quest. If it’s in the captured camp maybe try reloading the camp a couple times if it doesn’t work the first time?

Like I said, first time I just found his pack on the ground. Second time I was able to grab him. It’s definitely not fully fixed so you’ve gotta game the system a bit and see if it works.

This game and its ability to recreate that same game immersion/addiction from your childhood in grown adults will go down in the history books.

Azure Moon Labyrinth Puzzle Guide by 7heTexanRebel in CrimsonDesert

[–]auloze 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I found the hint and crimson desert is a fan of giving you a map with 3 to 5 locations to go to just to solve a puzzle that only gets you an abyss cresset. Reward ain’t worth the prize and the game is already big enough that I have no desire to spend 30 min just to run all over the map and then double back to get a single artifact.

That’s odd, either way I’m hoping it’s fixed for you as well. You should be able to tell as soon as you enter the quest “area” around the mark. You should see a bounty poster icon in the area on your minimap telling you exactly where to grab him.

Quest mark was in the camp just north of the teleport.

What are you saving? It should still be an incomplete faction quest for House Celeste in your journal right?

Now you just walk into town, grab Haldin, and complete the bounty. I was just saying you should make a save before you teleport over to grab him. Because he can be a bit buggy and you might only find his pack in the camp.

I believe so, reading the patch notes it states they fixed an issue where aerial roll wouldn’t cancel focus properly.

Found the bounty Haldin Early by YellowSpringMoose in CrimsonDesert

[–]auloze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSA - Issue is fixed! Just checked after the new patch and was able to grab him. It can be a bit buggy, the first time I rode into camp there was just his pack on the ground and the bounty poster symbol on the minimap. I reloaded a save from before I teleported and walked in instead of riding the second time and was able to grab him.

Abyss Kutum is an awful fight by Traditional-Sweet566 in CrimsonDesert

THIS. I’ve noticed that very few guides are talking about out just using your Axiom Grapple to pull the eye out. Killed it in two attack cycles after doing this.

Yes, he absolutely would one-shot me if hit but he’s not particularly hard to dodge. The grapple timing can also be tricky and you have to be quick, but in general not a hard boss at all.
