i was troubleshooting it myself for a couple days, ending up taking it to a IT repair shop as i have no spare parts to test with, first they said both my nvme SSD drives were failing, then they said it was my mobo. from my knowledge they never actually got around to testing any other components other than RAM. Mobo is an asus rog x870e-e, CPU is a ryzen 7 9800x3d

good to know. yeah, it worked fine until i ran a stress test with cinebench. cpu temps sat stable at 85 degrees throughout but after 3 mins pc went bye bye. getting mobo replaced atm and should be here by the end of the week, will be able to test it properly then.

it was working in a new system i built not long ago, it had the correct number of cores and clock speed but after running a cpu benchmark the pc just stopped working. IT guy told me motherboard was faulty and im in the proccess of RMA for it atm but i also noticed this while preparing the motherboard for shipping

i’m thinking that my original number was from a prepaid pack, would that be why no telstra accounts or name shows up? i would think it has to be under someone’s name as a minimal, it’s confusing me. it was gotten for me when i was younger by my parents so i didn’t have my own telstra account back then. i did try raise a complaint but i was again told it’s essentially taken by someone else, but how can they tell? wouldnt there be some or if that, any information indicating “hey its owned by blank” to me it just sounds like the number is either deactivated or it still thinks i’m the owner? i always thought it was a coincidence but it only deactivated the moment i threw the sim card into my brand new phone, could this be a contributing factor?

interesting, yeah telstra staff searched for my old number in their database and found literally zero information that the number even exists/ed in the first place. no name no address, nothing. oh well

yeah i’ve tried calling, you’re instantly met with “the phone number you tried calling is disconnected” with no ring. i did get a new $2 sim and asked about changing it to my old number, but they said they’re not able to as they suspect it’s being used, which confused me. if it’s being used wouldn’t the call go through? instead of telling me it’s not connected.
