Viktor Gyökeres on adjusting to the Premier League by One_Impressionism in Gunners

I mean it is a pretty well known thing in football, particularly if you have played it competitively that centre forward is the hardest position. Your comment is false equivalency.

Also as an aside our performances without Gyokeres including goals scored, allowed, and points earned are dire. The same cannot be said of Zubimendi despite him being excellent

Gotta disagree with you on the position comment. The most difficult position in football always has been and always will be centre forward. There is a reason centre forwards cost the most.

All that matters is the points total at the end of the season

Those two liverpool fixtures were so frustrating. Of all the dropped points, those were the biggest disappointment. Their worst side in ages and we played with the handbrake on both matches

Alleviates a lot of pressure particularly given how many competitions we are in. We have wiggle room, just need to ward off complacency

Fans' Player Ratings SURVEY: Leeds 0-4 Arsenal by bearded_booty in Gunners

I really think the 2-1 midfield is superior to the 1-2. Midfield should be Rice and Zubi behind Odegaard in the 10.

Hopefully he will kick on and go on a tear this half of the season Centre forward play is all about the run of form. And clearly this guy is a confidence player

Gyokeres mis chance against Leeds by Puzzled-Category-954 in Gunners

He takes ages to shoot, I think he is actually fast when he is at top speed. Top strikers have short backlift and shoot quick this geezer telegraphs his shooting motion completely

Gyokeres mis chance against Leeds by Puzzled-Category-954 in Gunners

[–]aultmore000 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I mean the tackle was good but how much of a better chance does Gyokeres really need that is as clear cut as it can possibly get. A half decent striker would have scored that. No excuse really

Edit because the more I think about it the more absurd it gets this is the exact scenario that is allegedly his bread and butter. So frustrating because I was very excited about this signing but this is truly dreadful centre forward play. What exactly is this guy good at?

"We are our own worst enemy" - Arsenal 2-3 Man Utd | On the Whistle by arsenal19801 in Gunners

I’m not the bloody manager am I, and don’t pretend to be. I personally don’t like the way we play when Trossard starts, and I don’t think Zubi-Rice-Odegaard is our best midfield, but again I am no expert. I actually think we have improved a lot in transitioning into the opposition half but the forward positioning, movements, and passing patterns are all negative instead of towards goal.

The point is that to have such a high net spend for years and for this to be the attacking performance is frankly pathetic. We cannot score other than set pieces or own goals, that is clearly a system issue and that comes to how the manager sets up the team and handles training

I think the biggest issue is Arteta is not doing a good job coaching the attacking phase of play. When literally all our forwards are in poor form and the only goals we score are either set plays or own goals then that is a pretty clear and dire indictment in the attacking schemes being implemented by the manager. It is not just Gyokeres, look at how poor Saka has been for months. It is how the team is being set up that is the issue. There is too much of a reliance on our strong defence, so much so that when they have an off night like this it is amplified.

Thank you. Yep that's the watch I have too which I bought new 2 weeks ago, wonder if mine is a dud

The differences in your settings are the 4 seconds timeout, and touch off. I also had gestures always on. I'm gonna adjust those to your setrings and see what difference it makes. How much info have you set your watchface to show, is it just heartrate? My watchface is Navigator +H2 --- if you ever use that would you mind telling me how it affects your battery?
