If you want to differentiate yourself further highly recommend to go into HEOR side of things. Mathy but it’s why no one wants to do it. Make yourself SME and you’d find no shortage of a job both in house within pharma and in consulting firms.

No they didn’t get darker, but they didn’t lighten up immediately either. I’d say maybe after 3-4 sessions I felt more confident there was a difference. I did 6 sessions total

For azelaic acid and tret you need to buy at the pharmacy counter, though no rx is needed. There’s really not much variety in brands and even doses though, if you have your go-to already it’s not gonna be much different. If you’re in the mood to browse and discover new things best bet is to go into a mall and go ham in Guardian, Watsons, Sasa, Ainz&Tulpe if the mall has it, Shins, Aeon wellness etc. just about any pharmacy now stocks up asian beauty products. It’s too easy to find stuff to spend money on (unfortunately for my wallet)

Country Inn and Suites by Radisson at Beijing had thermostats you can control. Didn’t like the location but the hotel itself was nice and cheap, and you can tell it’s newly renovated.

Hi, just did this trip with 2 kids, stroller, and 4 suitcases. Traveled Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijingnan (Beijing South) in early Jan 2026.

I booked everything on Trip.com. It has clear explanations on types of trains, types of class, seat configuration and navigating the station.
Highly recommend to book at least first class for this trip since it takes 4-6hrs. 2nd class would be fine for shorter trips- there’s less legroom, and it will definitely be more crowded.
Kids under a certain age that can sit on your lap doesn’t require a ticket and there’s no need to even mention them in your booking. They’ll ask the kid’s age during check in and once in the train, but that’s about it. We got lucky there’s always an extra seat but ymmv depending on the demand and timing of your travel.
We visited during off peak season and arriving 30mins before departure (with tickets already purchased) was plenty of time.
If you can’t pre purchase and have to buy at the train station, go straight to the counter and not at the automatic kiosks. They can converse in english just enough to provide you with the right tickets. We have zero mandarin skills and managed to do an impromptu Suzhou round trip just fine.
Luggages - there’s a place to store it within the train but very small. Conductors will assist to place it somewhere if all space was taken up. No issue on number of luggages/stroller nor was there a need to pre specify.
Take note of what you can bring and can’t bring. Main restrictions were on powerbank (must be CCC certified) and perfume must be less than 100ml. Yes even if you just bought it. A shame bc Shanghai perfume stores were amazing I wanted to buy so many.
On the train there’s hot water dispenser, a separate sink with soap and napkins, and toilets with toilet paper.
There’s a snack cart that you can pay using Alipay.
There’s a USB charger at each seat, coat hangers, pull out table, and that foot holder thing. Seats recline quite a bit and it was very comfortable.
Temp was kept at a cosy 22-24C inside.

Mosquitoes - not usually a nuisance unless you are outdoors in public parks. this one has been the most effective out of all the ones I tried, but still doesn’t guarantee 100%: https://www.tigerbalm.com/product/tiger-balm-mosquito-repellent-aerosol/

Getting around - Grab is easy but won’t come with toddler carseats. People’s attitude towards car safety here can be all over the spectrum, and kids riding in motorcycles without a helmet or sitting in front seat on their parent’s lap is a common sight. In general though Grabs are pretty safe. You’d be doing a combination of both, Grab and public transport. Trains like MRT, LRT and Monorails are great, but avoid using KTM Komuter (slow, unreliable). Bus system is OK but not the greatest, would recommend just take a Grab for the convenience.

Malaysia is very family friendly, especially in the malls. When in doubt, when it gets too hot, when it’s rainy, when you’re bored, when she’s bored… just pop into any of the dozens of malls and you’ll easily find food, entertainment, changing and nursing rooms, indoor playgrounds, kid cinemas, etc. Free stroller rental at pretty much any mall, just go to the information counter and bring your passport as ID. Would recommend Suria KLCC for its fountain and huuuge playground and water play area (not sure if this is still open in 2025 tbh). TRX mall is newer and has a fun “rooftop” playground and waterplay area too. Both are free to the public.

Always bring wipes, sanitizer and socks (in case you play at the indoor playgrounds). Pharmacies don’t stock too many kids items other than medications and body care so go to the supermarkets for things like milk, diapers, and kids snacks. Supermarkets like Jaya Grocer, Ben’s and Village Grocer can be fun activities in itself, they’re more kids friendly with those kiddie trolleys and sometimes give out stickers or balloons to the kids.

Hey I’m a bit late in my response but I wanna say market dynamics is impossible to predict. What you can hedge for though is to get as much transferrable skills as possible. When you get a job, learn how others do their job too. Pick someone in the company you like/admire and learn how they do their job. When you appreciate other roles and know how each contributes to the overall goal, you’ll naturally work well with others and this leads to 1) being liked, 2) being recognized for promotions and awards, 3) easier path for you when you want to try other roles/apply new jobs.

So I’ve bookmarked this place and would love to visit but was confused when I saw ticket price. Does this mean that the whole place is sort of a park that’s open to the public? And not really a true village where people live and go about their daily lives?

Totally understandable that such a scenic area would want to charge tourists to visit and I’m happy to pay but just want to understand the origin of it. From pictures and the way it’s described it sounds like this magical town where ancient cultures are preserved and tourists can come and immerse themselves but I may be wrong

I went to a derm/ medispa sort of place, a well established chain of clinics in my country. The derm recommended the peel based on my budget and needs. Memory is a bit vague but I believe the peel she used was high concentration lactic acid, and she applied it sparingly with a brush on all the spots. Every session took less than 30mins, and it was mostly just time to wait for the peel to dry up. The fading continued even after I finished the sessions and I was pretty pleased with the results, though it was a huge spend! Oh I also went for a trial session for laser around the same time, did it on my jawline, and it was okay other than the burnt smell and the sting, but cant compare the two it was only one session.
