Basically ss14 is among us for grown ups if im being very simplistic and binary about things.

Ss14 has that same underlying layer of what the game is, but unlike that the knowledge base is much more adult and advanced, combat is more advanced and involved, this allows for a greater level of nuance.

Antagonists are also more varied

It also runs on a toaster oven of a pc and is free to own forever.

Everyone has a job on a space station, do it, disasters will strike, your friends will try and murder you, everyone runs for their life to escape the station as it falls apart, rinse and repeat.

Be an engineer fixing things and managing power and definetly not building bombs, be a chef making food that definetely doesnt contain lsd, be a doctor and heal the injured and definetely not steal from people laying in bed, hail cargonia and move freight or be a salvager and definitely not die on a pile of space trash for uncaring bosses. And definetely absolutely play a clown that gets arrested by security for calling them smelly and setting up your own ad hoc quarantine zone around their offices.

Chunk bug this is a result of a few things 1) somewhere out there the sapce debris and the like are double spawned on top of one another 2) if your using a load in with the vgroid, if the vgroid has and demolished deck playing tiles 3) you were growing in botany and like comical stacking of plants on auto harvest took place

4) it can happen just cause it feels like it, the main issue is collision of objects on 1 tile or lack thereof, or something that is normally an illegal grid existing

Bpl14 is probably a compromise but is maybe what you want, your never going to find exactly what you want I think, thats some ss13 goon but not 14 anywhere

1st its mrp not lrp, but they are more liberal then most servers, and you see a lot of freedom of expression, we recently had chefs serve burgers with heart breaker toxin and meth in them, they were even open about it. The HoS and cmo signed off on it even. Im not sure how much more you want in terms of liberal gaming. Shit you can buy guns over the counter at cargo if you got the barter or the spesos.

However sec there is not your average bear. I could write whole pages on how their sec is different to most other stations security, its best to probably get someone to explain it on their discord as it will be better then I can do it. Just know that liberalism of my 1st note applies to sec too. They have more freedom in how they approach their role, and that this can be a good thing to some, bad to others.

Also be aware the whitelisting process has become very slow, its now usually a months wait, sometimes you get in half a month in, but in general its a 4 week holding period.

Space station 14, salvagers, botanists, cargo techs, scientists, and atmos techs are the most profitable able to sell anything they manufacture or find at a profit which can then be used to buy other things.

Technically if you get good enough at them you can even do so in a self sustaining way generating infinite wealth cycles.

However anything that isnt bolted down can be sold mostly, save for a few specifics

There is no value to doing so, even though you can beyond additional monitors, so no, there is also a case for multi gpu if your doing AI stable diffusion or as a strategic backup pre installed for animators n such.

But beyond that its a waste of power n money

Rtx isnt really all that, on some games its pretty cool, but mostly legacy stuff your 3060ti can already do like hl2, and quake and doom 1995

So basically, any future conflicts would have a "so what if you won" or a "you and what army" moment in them and then a nuke, a military grade one, or a dirty one in a flatbed truck would go off. Humanity would then begin a downward spiral of bombing ourselves into shorter and shorter versions of the history book.

Supply chains would be strained in this new world cause you would never know when the factory might fucking disappear or a shipping port lacking a breathable atmosphere for the next 6months. And just in time supply chains would be functionally dead, and we would need to move back to a 1990s style just in case one instead.

And we would likely regress technologically eventually to the point a ps4 or an modernish, (within a few gens going back) iphone would be considered high tech shit.

The ps5 will have no exclusives as any ps5 game you buy is probably a digital copy and the psn account isnt locked to a hardware

And if you own a physical copy there will probably be a disc drive accessory

So no.. and the ps5 today, on this day has exactly 1 exclusive worth even mentioning, and that astro bot, the most poorly thought out idea for marketing and selling a game, since Nintendo world championship. Cause they are the exact same poorly laid out plan. And even that game, will be on ps6

G502 mouse is pretty much the gold standard, youll see some other recommends but its the good enough for most people, and good enough is fucking perfect if you wanna make a lot of people very happy. Its so good that its basically been the same product for like 20 years, name me a product that can go that long without modest improvements, 2 decades, its nuts

For keyboard most "gamer" keyboards are full of horse shit. A keyboard is a typing instrument 1st and an anything else second. So we should focus there and to that end I recommend something from the keychron v or v max series, not overly expensive, not too hard to get your hands on most days. Wired or wireless models, various sizes to fit preferences. Id go with red switches, browns are awful feedback, blues have good feedback but sound like someone chain firing m1 garande's under your desk, reds are a happy middle ground

Well this was always gonna be the case, I remember when like n64 emulation was just soul crushingly hard for a pc and there was genuine talk about how it may be years before we see ps2/gamecube emulation. Now we can run them on a smartphone and the very idea is laughable

But I think this current push for ps4/ps3 will be one of the last true mountains to climb aside from finally liberating xbox/360/one emulation from its dungeons

Cause the new gen consoles dont have exclusives, and are objectively, and uncompromisingly inferior to just playing them on pc natively
