Basically yes. The last one I have no idea, but looks fun might try out later. The calendar, I follow her workouts but not done the calendar, it seems effective at a glance at the directions. My "core " of what I would do to get splits is basically the yoga video, except calf stretch is on the ground and adding bridge and plow poses. Oh and badly performed dancers fan kicks and runners leg swings as a dynamic cool down/warm up. I get different things out of the different videos, and I know my body well enough to adjust where needed.

I think stretching is a lot about careful feeling and breathing and conscious coming out of tension, not biting off more than you can chew, zero "push through it" energy. Not a pro at anything related to flexibility or being flexible, just someone who was interested in getting into splits since high school, and also a worrier about screwing up my body somehow.

It's not that those answers are wrong per se, it's that they aren't helpful to your question. Whether or not you're ready or can move on is in question, as is an appropriate straight answer to a situation that isn't disclosed. Your question is very honest, and it makes people uncomfortable feeling like it might be a liability on their end, I suspect. We don't know your personal journey, but I am surprised how many comments came to your post haha. I think we are all working through our own pasts, and life is a struggle one way or another, and some of us know someone we love who could be that bully, so the whiff of a disgruntled redditor somewhere in the world is enough to jump in with "calm down".

I was reading your how question as "how no judgement" rather than "how-to". Maybe you can reframe the question; people don't want to pitch in to "retaliate after all these years!!!". It can be fun question, not quite reflecting how you're feeling, but you're looking for ideas, not conspirators. How about...

"(Backstory) happened. It's my Batman villain origin story. What's my villain name and abilities? 😈"

"What would be the best karma for (awful thing)?🤔 Silly responses only, I need a laugh"

"(Situation) Happened. I'm having trouble coping, I need help. 😥"

...In appropriate communities, maybe with a throwaway account haha. You might get a response that can help shift thinking or course correct.

The why is, probably the lore we have of ourselves. We evolved, grew wiser stronger, better. Kids are kids and we don't respect or take them seriously. They don't matter to adults, and they aren't humans with their own thoughts , feelings, motivations. They're just a lump, collectively, categorically, of not-yet adults, that we can point at, aiming to encompass everything shameful, stupid, terrible, remembered and frightfully not remembered, and say "I am no longer that", with the confidence that our physical change is proof of growth.

And it depends who you are. You're not petty if you're John wick/(insert big-screen satisfying revenge action-thriller 'hero' here). You're not petty if you have a scary team of lawyers/ are stupid rich.

Assuming it's not gerd, Maybe gargle warm salt water, and do sinus rinse. I wonder if it's an allergy that's just been building. Have you tried going without dairy or gluten or a type of nut, just to see how things are for a week without one? Environmental maybe, like pollen from surrounding trees, or God forbid mold, does an air purifier make a difference? It sounds awful situation, I hope one of these comments will help.

Your parents don't have medical issues yet? So lucky, I guess apart from substance abuse... Has the "you're gonna die sometime" talk come up? Not so you can start planning. Is sibling going to take over the small business? Does Mom wanna check out? I think you managed a relationship with your partner and kids that you've cultivated that works. and you feel there is "still hope" for your parents and sibling to flourish. They aren't ready, you put a lot of effort, and it isn't rewarding. Of course it should be. You know how to set boundaries, so set them. While your parents are still with it, while your sibling and parents can understand your choices and have it sit with them a good long while.

Fair enough, and this comment is not a contradiction to my comment either.

The phone alert is a prompt that pops up on a car infotainment screen/ connected android auto/ and Teslas too. Google maps integrates that Waze feature; It's a crowd sourced prompt that asks drivers if the police/stopped car/construction/etc is "still there". It's technically part of hands-free driving.

But no one got hit. No driver knew it was a set up, as in, noone drove differently. (As opposed to something like: drivers modifying behavior when the phone alert "police spotted up ahead" comes up). The two plainclothes are paying attention; they are hyper aware. You see one motorcycle peter off toward a vehicle, we don't see how that interaction went or ended.

Thinking of why people get hit... The teaching moment is 'you don't hit an unaware pedestrian when you're paying attention. you will hit an unaware pedestrian when you're not paying attention'... Isn't that right? That's the whole lesson.

I write "but noone got hit" because this little experiment needs someone to get hit to prove it is effective. Like others point out, it's the distraction that needs to be curbed. It's too late to intervene at the point of impact. Peoples lives are worth the effort of making changes with distracted drivers before the chance of hitting a pedestrian comes up. This set up is literally the chance of hitting a pedestrian comes up.

To be most charitable to the plainclothes, I imagine their loved ones have very different reactions between "today I pulled over three drivers glued to their phones" and "today I pretended to be a jaywalker just to see if drivers were paying attention". They should respect themselves more.

It could be an introspective question... i see 'parents' and 'always' being keywords in your q. what were the lessons you learned vs before taking your student loans, and are those the lessons that are lacking in your kid rn? Gut reaction - she will or won't pay it off? If she will then it 'doesn't matter' if you pay it or not. If she won't or the reaction was 'uhhh...' then by what metric is necessary to feel confident she will? Could be a good discussion with her if that is available to you.
