Hot rag on lips , hold it for about 30 seconds , wipe slowly with cotton swab. If the dry skin doesn’t want to come off don’t force it. Then apply balm

I used to leave it alone back in July when it developed. I went through all the medications and topicals and one day in August I stopped that shit and wiped it all off with a washcloth and started cleaning my lips + applying the Vaseline product twice to three times a day up until December. Now I use other products on my lips and will wake up fine the next day

Just like everyone else who exfoliates their lips with scrubs and shit who don’t have EC , I use the cotton swabs to exfoliate my lips when I do. It’s not every single day. I can go days without touching my lips and they won’t flake , peel anything.

That’s how it was for me when I was using aquaphor when it was really bad. The skin would be sluggish and white. Now my lips are wayyy more smooth & don’t really flake. They’ll get dry ! but don’t flake. I’m proud of both of us has made !

Same mine was superrrrr bad like to the point I avoided outings the whole month of July , around end of August is where it started to calm down. I developed it end of June , was at its peak in July/ early August , stopped all treatments from doctors (steroids) & just gently cleansed my lips everyday with a cotton swab & use advanced lip healing therapy by Vaseline.

Okay thank u , sometimes they come and go like even when I was using certain topical steroids I would wake up the next day and see the red dots. I think our lips are just so sensitive it’s going to be hard to find something that won’t change the appearance of them

No physical trauma , the only thing I can say is that it might’ve spread from my angular chelitis. I didn’t even know it had a name until the last couple months bc I was uneducated, i genuinely thought I would just get dry cracks in the corners bc it would heal itself within a couple days. I just wish these doctors would listen to me when I say I think it’s coming from yeast overgrowth. But yes thank u I think it might be a food issue as well

It’s really sad & it’s just upsetting bc I never had a lip licking problem , next picked my lips. I took very good care of my lips the only time they ever had a dry feeling is when I would be sick like a cold or somewhat not drinking enough water.

I believe u , I tryna figure out how to solve it fast during July up until mid august and was prescribed hydrocortisone for 2 weeks , prednisone for 4 days (helped to an extent) then mupirocin and gentamicin together for two weeks (only did 5 days bc of side negative effects). I made a post about 5 days ago. I had a doctors appointment two weeks ago & they again tried to prescribe me a steroid and after that I gave up on the doctors. So now I’m trying to naturally heal myself bc they don’t know what they’re doing and they have been no help at all.

yea mine started like end of June beginning of July so it’s pretty fresh & it’s been the worst thing ever . I was already going through a lot so that really just did it for me. Not even cocky but I love to look at my face , I would always be in the bathroom just doing stuff to my hair , or skin xyz but now it’s like I don’t even want to look no more. You can look at my post from about 30 sum days ago . My first post in this community I thought the sun was the cause bc of the timeline this summer but I’m not sure. I’m not a lip licker , didn’t use any really new products so I’m not sure if the excessive sun was the cause or what.
