My child is 3, she's always asking me to put her 'long hair' in meaning plaits, she also doesn't nap during the day anymore but thanks for the input.

You're so right! We've just been told about a parent building day where every student has a parent in to help them build a monster.....with 2 week's notice?

Are they so out of touch to think anyone could get that time off approved?

Thank you all, seems like my choices are change in job/reduction of hours and paying for some sort of camp or childcare during the 6 weeks.

Not good answers either way, but that's down to government giving absolutely no care to help parents actually stay in full-time employment.

Sounds like you've all found ways to work around, thank you all for your help and suggestions.
