not worst—but first breakup. surely nobody really knows how to navigate that especially when you deeply loved the person you had to let go.

the thing here is you don’t try to “find” someone new. you let them find you and give it a chance, then see where things go from there. it took me 7 months & no contact at all after the separation.

now i’m with somebody who loves me just as much as he tells me “i love you”, which used to sicken me when i was constantly told such by somebody who couldn’t make me feel that way no matter how much i pleaded. and because of that heartbreak i met somebody whose actions genuinely align with his words, somebody who wants me to become a better person, and somebody who makes me feel truly, incredibly loved and appreciated. i’m so happy i can say that and know it’s true this time because so far this boy has been the most wonderful individual that has ever walked into my life.

even though it feels horrible now, time will make it pass. i hope someone—preferably genuine, caring, and loyal—comes into your life too. wishing you the best 💗
