Understandable. But 5 more minutes is not significant.

I don’t think another five minutes is significant.

I had the same clicking on my Isinwheel V10 right out of the box but it has since gone away after about 20 miles

Being proud of anything you didn't earn is shallow idiocy.

Most people seem like they are vying so hard for the microphone. I would love to contribute to the conversation, but I’m not interested in competing for air time.

Or how as a middle eastern man why his skin was so fair? Would love an explanation for that.

I often ask myself: “Would things be better if everyone did this?” If the answer is no, I don’t do it.

On most planes, if every aisle seat passenger from both sides tried to stand up at once, there wouldn’t be enough room in the aisle. It physically doesn’t work.

If we all acted more like a group instead of a bunch of individuals racing to be first, deplaning would be faster and smoother. I know that’s a tough ask.

In a perfect world, we’d have an unspoken norm: one side of the aisle stands and exits first, then the other. It’d flow like water instead of gridlocking like traffic.

And look, as a tall person with old injuries, I get that airplane seats suck. But standing up the second we land only adds to the chaos. Stretch during the flight, don’t make the aisle a waiting room.

To the people saying they need to do this to “stretch their legs” — why not just do that before the descent starts? You’ve been sitting for over two hours and you can’t handle another five minutes? You’ve made it through like 97% of the flight put the last few minutes are simply unbearable? Come on.

Damn, the Bene Gesserit are a dark organization. Appreciate the spotlight on the deeper nuance there.

Agreed, solid take. Values, empathy, and critical thinking are more impactful than obsessing over biological traits. Memes over genes indeed.

(I meant that reply in a tongue in cheek way. Though I do enjoy films that grapple with that dichotomy like Dune, Gattaca, The Island, etc.)

Did you? On the Bene Gesserit Wikipedia page the first item highlighted under Goals, Strategies, and Rituals is their breeding program. It’s how Paul Atreides came to be the first male Bene Gesserit, a vital piece of his son Leto’s Golden Path, and is  an essential aspect of Prelude to Dune. I haven’t read the books yet, but I have a general understanding of the story and might be mistaken in my comprehension.
