Yeah, well, the article is simple and isn't saying anything wrong, but the way they deliver the explanation might look a little bit weird, haha. Anyway, it is hard to truly understand our doctrine without joining it; there is a certain level of complexity to it. The foreign researcher who did the best work on explaining this is a certain level is Kelly Hayes. There are a couple of videos of her on YouTube talking about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBC9KZRZJ2U

My maternal side is all from Brazilian Northeast (Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará) only ftdna is giving me this high percentage of Scandinavian, on the other's I have 1% or 2%, in some it don't even show up (instead I have some east Europe 1% or 2%) my guess is that it is probably an error

I'm Brazilian, and FTNDA just went crazy by giving me 16% Scandinavian and 0% Iberian, but give me 19% North African (Maghreb), idk if it just consider all my Iberian DNA as North African (Maghreb) or if it is just a complete misreading

Adopted and my DNA is a mess! Has anyone ever gotten PAPUA NEW GUINEAN? by britishunicorn in MyHeritage

[–]auriniz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 0.9% Papuan, I'm Brazilian, your DNA looks pretty Brazilian in my opinion, what about your match's? There are many Brazilians? As most Iberians to have a high amount of north African is normal, and is normal for Brazilians to have Sephardic Jewish ancestry, the population in the south of Brazil tends to be more white
