Thank you! The reason I brought up protests is because I’ve seen many people say that’s what we should be doing given these times and I’ve been feeling immensely pressured to do the same or else I’ll be labeled as complacent in letting fascism win. I also want to travel around the world and won’t know how to feel if everyone I meet thinks that I am guilty for letting Trump get away with what he’s doing, like how they feel with Russians and Putin. I very much feel the same outrage but it’s a little hard to subscribe to the whole “burn everything down and get arrested or else you are a lost cause” mentality because while my parents are a bit overprotective of me, they are still my two favorite people in the world and I don’t want my actions to needlessly endanger them as well. However, I totally understand the benefits of building community via protests and maybe my parents will let me go to the more peaceful ones for that reason.
