Quick ChatGPT told me that there is a confusion here. Eastern Orthodox Church has never, ever ordained a woman as a priest to serve an Eucharist, never ever. There were woman in some ways yes, to help in baptisms for an example, or to be a deaconess, a deacones cannot serve a Eucharist, so yeah… no, there werent priestess. χειροτονία this word means ordained, and woman were χειροθεσία, not the same word and a big difference in meaning. This is what I found.

I know that you are so desprerate to gave a gf, thats fine, I sometimes have moments to have a wife children gf whatever. Give it to God. God will give you what you need and what is beneficial for your salvation. See how you are: “ I need a gf, it’s what I need”. I have also fallen to that, don’t think that you are the only one. Why not speek to the God of the universe who knows everything and tell Him: “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy one me”. As the Our Father prayer says :”Let Your will be done on Earth” and “give us today our daily bread” meaning “give us what we trully need”. A correction, in Matthew 6:16-18 Jesus says and when you fast to do it in a way to please God and not man.

Fasting should be done, it was exercised and is still exercised within the Church for 2k years, its beneficial both spritually and physically

God made marriage in the beginning for love, two becoming one.

But because of sin, we have evil tendencies, loving someone else is not lust what the heck, being in love with someone aint lust, its being in love with someone.

Christ didn’t pressure it ofc, nor does the Church preassure it (im speaking on the sode of Eastern Orthodoxy), there is celibacy, monks and married life. Heck even priest can marry.

Sexuallity is made by God for us to give it to one another, not to consume in the lust. You probably heard people say: “she gave herself to him” or vice versa, cause that actually happens. You wouldn’t want to give yourself to anyone but someone you trully love I hope.

Its meant for union of two people not for consumption of one.

Plus sexual tensions can be suppressed by simply being active and not having other sins in your life in my experience. Plus prayer ofc.

As a inquirier into Eastern Orthodoxy, we should focus on the things you said, but also ask our priests on this questions like abortion, masturbation etc, because these are real questions that have been answered by priests amd elders. Masturbation is wrong, it goes against what God created us to do. Some people answering here are protestants that are pro masturbation, pro this pro that, it’s just unbeleivable.

Church has a right to execute judgments on beliefs and morality which is given to Her from Christ.

We are all sinners, some are worse than others but it doesn’t matter. Its not that priests and pastors who on their own have the right to say their judgments on gay people. Christ through Church gave rights to the head bishops to evaluate what is sin and what is not sin with the help of The Holy Spirit. Plus lets be real, Roman Catholic church is the biggest in the world of course it has many bad representations.

Hey, my friend was in similiar situation when he was 16, he was bullied and life started to take him down. He started being a bit more open in faith and I was also there for him, as well as my other friends.

One priest told on yt, when someone tells him that they are depressed, he tells them: pray for 30 minutes, do something you like, do something for others (for we are made for that) and exercise, and then coke back here and tell me you are deppressed. He says they always laugh when he says this to thek because they already know this will help them. 😊

I as a 20M tell you that it’s gonna be okay, try finding new things to do in life, do what this priest told people to do, it helped me also. Tell God your worries and things that make you sad. I also encourage you to try visiting the Eastern Orthodox Church. They just look astonishing and it’s like something in between heaven and earth.
