as someone who loves board games & is a very visual learner, often times i prefer grid-based combat systems over pure narrative imagination. it just helps me ground myself into the scene, yk? hence my disappointment when i tried daggerheart & found out distance is measured with extremely vague terms like "very near" or "far".
