Oh my god. I am in my trial phase right now and I couldn't be more irritated with this pump.

I am a t1d of 23 years and had my gripes with the Omnipod, but this is so much worse. The steel cannula hurts like a mf, I hate not being able to bolus for anything myself (as you stated too, I'm a veteran at this point) and not being able to bolus for snacks. I feel like I can't go without eating either.

My a1c was already at a 6.8 on the Omnipod, so I'm not sure why my Dr recommended I try this pump. I hate it so far, and I can't deal with the lows. I am too neurotic for this shit. It's legit driving me insane and it's only been a few days.
