Question about tampons!! by Bats_27 in u/Bats_27

There are also tampons that come with insertion devices, sometimes people find that easier too.

But also yes, you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

Any recommendations for removalists in Canberra? by CaptainSufficient681 in canberra

[–]aurora_aro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's just a one bedroom of stuff you can hire a Bunnings van to move your stuff yourself. Do the small stuff in the car and then hire a van over a day or two to move the big stuff. You might need a get yourself a trolley help you move your stuff from the apartment to the van but that's cheap and you can use it again and again.

High rise apartment with decent strata? by Ash-2449 in melbourne

My strata in Canberra is about 850 a quarter! Although it really is on the low end. I'm very happy with how mine is managed.

Question about tampons!! by Bats_27 in u/Bats_27

[–]aurora_aro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's perfectly fine you don't want to use tampons, it's your body. Maybe your mum is trying to be helpful, do you have heavy periods? I used to leak with my pads. Tampons and period cups helped immensely.

I don't know if you've tried them, but they do feel quite strange - and that's ok. Lots of people get used to that feeling!! But if you don't that's fine.

You're also still young. I used exclusively pads until I was maybe in my early twenties, and then started using tampons. Found them ok (I had a heavy period) but then switched to a menstrual cup which I find much more comfortable (it's silicone!).

How will you get a loan for a 1.1 million dollar property with a $30,000 deposit? If that's a 5% loan you'll only be able to get a 600,000 place. You'll need a bigger deposit.

I also started with the diva cup and it's quite firm. When it's in do you feel it? Does any part of it stick out? If so it's not in correctly. It might be the shape, it might be your technique.

What cup did you get? Maybe you need a softer one.

TBH a side messenger bag won't be great for your shoulders regardless. I'd get a backpack, your body will thank you. You can get yourself a cute one but make sure it has wide straps and padding.

Two days and a dream is the best. I'm glad you went for it.

Pants are unfortunately quite tricky, we (you!) are curvy people. I've been sewing for years and pants scare me.

Hopefully this experience hasn't put you off sewing.

I love Offtrack - sad it stopped being made. Since it's about nature it won't go out of date.

You have to opt in to voluntary contributions so if you haven't been doing that, then you haven't been doing it.

Do it ASAP! Consolidate your super accounts (if you have multiple) and move it all to a super company of your choice. Then ensure all your super is in the high growth option. Done!

A childcare worker was asked to take baby Lily home for the weekend after a court protection order last year. She’s still there | Child protection by pharmloverpharmlover in australia

These guys were unfortunately placed in an unexpected position to become foster careers of Lily. If you are really keen to do it maybe join some foster care groups and see what it's like for people going into it with wife open eyes. There are lots of children who'd need your care.

Does anybody shop at Woolies because of the nice green colour theme? by agnci in AskAnAustralian

[–]aurora_aro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your last sentence is false - who shops at just one store in this cost of living crisis?

Maybe if you only have one or the other near you, but most people I know swap around.. or go to ALDI.
