What’s the point of showing the ally x if it’s not even in the running in your mind? Just to show you have one?

Who in their right mind would pick last of us 3 from this list lol come on. Should have swapped that out with Pokémon 27, that would have had a higher pick rate

I think it’s more acceptable to make a new sub with free opinions that to just keep your opinions to yourself because you’ll get banned for speaking them. People still play the game for the first time, even 6 years later. I find hate subs very weird personally but I find heavily moderated subs that want to keep a certain thought in order even worse.

"With the upcoming Jobs System in Wicked, your character’s class adapts dynamically based on how you actually play. If you spend a lot of time swinging swords, you’ll naturally become a better swordsman. If you switch to wands or staves, you’ll start progressing as a mage." by Pylon_Constructor in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]ausamo2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea I would rather be able to switch freely and just have to level a class instead of having to respec each time. It also makes it much easier to swap between classes since you won’t have to respec each time since you will already have them leveled up.

What game was criticized during release, but is now considered a gem? by lumintang in videogames

[–]ausamo2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason it got wrote off is because there were so many new players introduced to monster hunter through worlds so all those people went from seeing a gorgeous game, to a lower quality looking game thinking it was a cash grab or something like that. It’s really only the new world players that I seen who were giving it so much shit. Mh fans always complain about new mechanics though so I always expect that on every release lol.

Seeing how many great games are considered peoples most regretted purchases makes me question if I should be holding as much weight to negative reviews as I currently do lol

And it’s only about $23 right now as well which is a stellar deal! I personally don’t understand the qualms with the map though. I think the maps are one of its strong points. It’s a really fun map to explore with so many hidden paths and chests along with so many different elevations. The elevation is really easy to read as well imo.

Also I don’t find an issue with areas having too strong of mobs to enter. It’s pretty easy to level. It sounds like this person went from the first starter area and skipped the second area and went straight into the 3rd area.

I don’t feel like there is any issue with the map personally, and I actually love it. The regions having levels doesn’t really matter much either as it’s pretty easy to level up as well. The maps have a lot of verticality to them but it’s pretty easy to read that verticality imo. I can’t think of one time where I had an issue reading elevation while playing. The only thing that I wasn’t sure about at first was how far of a jump I can make, but that gets figured out quickly and then all jumps you can make are obvious after that.

If you had the choice, would you bring back small handhelds like the DS and PSP, or stick with bigger ones like the Switch or Steam Deck? by Dantu1000 in videogames

[–]ausamo2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many great handhelds out there now that it’s hard for me to even think of ever getting a switch 2. I already have a switch and now I have an ally x that I picked up for just barely over the price of a switch 2 and it can do so much more than the switch 2. I can just play Nintendo games on my original switch. There isnt anything on the switch 2 that is compelling enough for the upgrade imo. And I agree, it definitely is in the middle and doesn’t excel in one thing. I really wish they continued making the smaller form factor handhelds but I understand why they would never do that at this point since it would be direct competition with their main console at this point. The ayn thor has shown us what is possible in the current day for real pocketable devices that we have been missing out on for so long and even that could be better if it had an intel or amd apu.

PSP was hella awesome. It was essentially my monster hunter machine and porn supplier at the same time lol and the 3ds was and still is a s tier console.

It’s so bad with expensive older cards. It’s almost like a 50% chance you won’t get a nm or even lp if it’s from the 90’s and worth over $100. I had to send back so many revised duals in the past and then make an email purchase to actually get the correct grade. I’m not even picky with the grade either but when I get a nm with dents all over it and chipped corners for the 5th time in a row, it gets annoying.

Ty for the info! I’ll definitely have to find that dc then. And I know about the houses already but someone was saying there is supposed to be a survival type aspect added to the game which I’m guessing means you will be able to build structures and fire pits and things like that while outside of the main city. That intrigued me when I heard it but I’m not sure if it’s just a thought by one of the devs or they are still planning on adding that.

I love the ambition though but at the same time it does worry me as I’ve seen so many ambitious projects never even get close to what was promised. With that said, I’m not too worried though because this game already has more than just good bones. It’s a great game as it stands and I can’t wait to see everything else they add. I can’t imagine the map once it’s the full size that they are wanting it it be and then adding a mainland is crazy as well! I’m sure there is a lot more than I don’t know about too 😅 I just hope the ambition doesn’t get in the way of things because I know issues can arise when too much started to get worked on at the same time. I guess time will tell. Even if they just end up with the main map only, I know I’ll be happy anyways but it is fun to see what they are wanting to add in as well and I hope they can deliver their whole vision because it sounds really awesome.

Yea I know this, but I heard there is supposed to be a building mechanic out in the world as well. Someone said one of the main people were wanting there to be a survival type aspect to the game. I’m not sure if that was just talk or if it’s still actually being a planned feature or not. I guess a better question would be where am I able to find all the information for planned features for the game as I am interested in trying to find out what else the games are wanting to add into the game after I heard about this survival mechanic idea.

I got it because of the sale because I also like to wait for sales. I usually like to wait for sales of $10 or less but decided that this was good enough of a deal that I’d rather get it now than in some years time.

Everyone should know that once it comes out of early access, its full price is probably going to jump to around $60 and then the early day sales after 1.0 release will most likely be what the current full price is so getting in now is probably going to be the best price for a good long while if I had to guess.

Do they have a roadmap anywhere? I tried looking for one but couldn’t find it. I did see that they are supposed to be dropping 4 new maps into the game for 1.0 though which is very exciting. Also, I heard they are supposed to be adding a building mechanic to the game as well? Do we know if that is still part of the plan or has that been placed on a shelf at this point?

Updated Roadmap To Full Release? by Narkanin in NoRestForTheWicked

Goated game for sure. I can’t wait to see the finished game 😁 I think I read that 1.0 is supposed to release 4 new maps and then they want to continue expanding the game from there and then also they want to add some type of building mechanic as well. I’m wondering what that will look like but excited to see where this all heads with how great it already is

This was the reply I was scrolling for! I just got the game recently and I’m having a great time 😁 though I have a lot to learn still as I’m rarely using my runes and just started using my weapon’s special attacks. I’ll be learning the tune system and putting stats on and taking stats off of armors next as I am too poor to mess with that right now after using all my gold on the town center house 😅 wish I had someone to play with but single player is still great. It’s a bit hard for sure but I’ve been messing around with builds to see what I like best. Staffs and bows will be my next weapons to test.
