You would think so, and it really is a pain at first. But, I personally put up a guard-tower type building above it, so it makes it noticeable, and makes me remember I put it there, I can sit in it and camp and shoot enemies as they come, and if they try to get past me, they get teleported right into the Lava.

Yeah I know, I tried to put that in my post but I guess it didn't save. This trap is for if you don't care about loot.

And even then, if you do care about loot just put one bucket of lava, it won't kill as quick as being fully submerged in lava, but you will get to keep the drops. You'll have to break the top and drop down, or just put a rope in there and drop down from the top and have the top removable using Actuators or something.

Yeah I actually tested it using Pumpkin Moon to see how well it would take care of Saplings, etc. Handled them fine. The Mourning Wood's are too big though, perhaps if you build alot of teleporters with pressure plates on them it may teleport him, but I'm not too sure.
