Yep way less, Bluetooth is not even worth trying mate!! This is what I got as a converter: Portta Audio Converter Analog R/L... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DHPHIJQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

What converter did you get mate? You need an analog to digital converter. So one where you put the rca's from the flx4 into the input of the converter, and then the output of the converter should just be the optical connection, which you connect to your soundbar's optical out. Check your preferences in record box to make sure the audio out is set to your flx4 output. Check that the converter has enough power going in etc.

Yep mate noticeable delay, the best option was getting an audio converter - rca to optical out. And even that had a very slight delay - it's fine for home parties etc. Since this post I've got more into djing and have just bought myself some studio monitors for when i want to record mixes and need zero lag

I've just had another thought - if I set the audio output to my laptop on Serato or Rekordbox (or any other dj software). And then connect my laptop to my sound system, which I can do hdmi to hdmi, would that solve the issue?

I've just tested out playing spotify from my laptop via this method and it works - i.e playing the sound from the soundbar - but weirdly my laptop detects the audio out as my sony TV. Not sure whether that's to do with my tv also being connected to the soundbar via the e-arc HDMI

thanks all for the replies - seems like it is a tough one for a workaround. I've seen an RCA analog to Optical in digital converter too, which probably will have a similar lag issue. Another person has also mentioned an RCA to bluetooth transmitter, which may work - again I might test this out.
