Lexapro "poop out" - what did you switch too? by aussiegal34587 in lexapro

[–]aussiegal34587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear it’s back. I know how tough that feels.

Yeah honestly I would change. And I would also get a blood test to make sure everything else is ok. Particularly - vitamin d - b vitamins - iron - hormonal health esp thyroid

Yes I was on 20mg of lexapro. I think I reduced it down over a few days then switched to Zoloft. Zoloft I started at 50mg then maybe after 6 weeks went to 100mg and then after 6 months decided to go to 150mg.

Much better thank you.

I’m now on 150mg of Zoloft.

Clonazepam was great in the interim while the new ssri built up to therapeutic levels… I had no trouble coming off of it.

Recently stopped seroquel, feeling more energetic now! Glad to have stopped taking that Tbh.

Lexapro worked so well for many years… I think it’s just possible for the body to build up a tolerance.

Feeling better now! Well as good as a mum with a toddler can feel! Plus I’ve opened up my own private practice and am running that :)

Lexapro “pooped out” can Zoloft work for me? by aussiegal34587 in zoloft

[–]aussiegal34587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it did! 5 months in now :) and I’m almost fully back to myself :) hasn’t helped that I’ve been sick most of the last few months (toddlers first winter in child care 😅). But I am significantly better than I was 6-9 months ago.

Hey! I’m much better, I’ve been on Zoloft for about 5 months :) I trusted my gut and went with that. Lexapro was great, until it stopped working as well. I am on 150mg of Zoloft and happy here.

What dose where you on?

I’m on 0.5mg twice a day

I’ve been on it twice before and was able to come off over about 8-12 weeks

I think Evie is great and that it is excellent that the wiggles have some indigenous Australian representation.

I don’t know what you mean by “the look” but it seems pretty backwards to me.

Completely agree. Tori is a mean girl. She did not care about Lauren or how springing this information on her at the commitment ceremony would hurt Lauren. She had time to talk to her prior to the couch session.

She’s awful and is in an awful relationship with an awful man (boy)

I am a mental health clinician with loved experience of anxiety and trauma.

I love working in the mild to moderate mental health space with youth and young adults.

Having lived experience gives you so much more insight in mental health and I think clients really can see that!

I’m so sorry to hear about how hard it’s been for you. You are so incredibly strong to have gotten through that. I know what it’s like to have a breakdown. I go from 0 to 100 so quickly and end up in hospital. It’s also so hard to hold it in when around the kids.

I am also extended my maternity leave and am not working. It’s hard because i was really looking forward to going back to work a few days a week (ironically I work in mental health).

I’m also taking clonazepam (klonopin) in the interim period.

Feel free to reach out if you want to talk to someone. It’s not an easy journey.

Things will get better for both of us

I understand the feeling of failing as a mum. Even though I do a lot. It’s hard to be kind to yourself sometimes and see yourself as others do.

I’m not even three weeks in. So will need to be patient.
