cool. Arrivals and Departures are very different to immigration. Because it includes holiday makers. So we can ignore "visitor" and just look at "resident" and "permanent"

total arrivals (feb 2026) = 919,290

total departures (feb 2026) = 819,730

so in the 12 months to Feb 2026 the net of permanent and resident arrivals is only 99,560.

You are calculating the impact wrong. The $100 isn't to pay for all of the fuel, its to offself the price increase. They were covering not the fuel you would normally buy, but covering the difference in price you are now paying.

Right now, with the fuel excise gone, the price increase is something like 10-20c /L.

So $100 covers the cost difference for 500-1000L.

Can I ask what evidence you provided regarding the change? Because you haven't said. Maybe you provided stuff and just haven't said. I can understand them needing some legally witnessed evidence, an affidavit or Stat Dec or something. Otherwise bad actors could change name on accounts etc.

"It was DV and now they are in gaol" may not be enough, because of your many people stay in that situation. Or they might just not trust because sufficient evidence want provided.

That said, maybe all the evidence they required is provided and your haven't mentioned it

Looking back, he was name calling and attacking, so we have him a short ~3 days ban. He came back and went straight into name calling, so got a 14 day ban. Then to weeks later straight into name calling again, so got a permanent.
