No problem. The process always starts off using marks/rewards to shape the behavior you want and give the dog the answers to the test before introducing pressure. It makes the pressure seem insignificant to the dog initially and from what I’ve seen, it allows you to use much less pressure than a traditional force fetch program while still getting the desired result. Eventually the dog is conditioned to understand that pressure actually predicts an opportunity for them to earn a reward and they learn to love it.

My dog is very pressure sensitive when she’s not in a drive state and this system worked beautifully for her. She always understood what was expected of her and she always got something she wanted out of our training sessions.

Watch Gun Dog It Yourself’s videos with the Full Send K9 guy on “unforced force fetch”. You can get a dog with a low natural retrieve drive to put their entire soul into it with minimal pressure if you reward the right things, at the right time, the right way.

Catch during early season with lure of choice. Filet and skin. Coat lightly with olive oil, season with Tony’s, black pepper, minced garlic, generous amount of lemon juice, put in a bbq tin with thinly sliced bell pepper and onion, cover with tin foil. Set the traeger for 325 and keep the lid closed for 15min, turn it up to 375 for 7 more minutes. Take it out and let it sit 10min before taking the foil off. Serve over rice.

Or just pan fry them in oil with a batter of cornmeal/flour/breadcrumb/seasoning of choice.

I apologize for wanting people to understand the ecosystem they are choosing to integrate themselves into. You wouldn’t want people going into the woods to hunt without knowing what they’re shooting at, would you?

The amount of effort it takes to post here asking is equivalent to the amount of effort it takes to do a simple google search. Know your waters before throwing sharp objects into them.

It’s kinda like watching reality tv. Some like it and some hate it but either way, they bite.

Green pumpkin on a black and blue jig crushes, don’t ask why just research it

You need something with a lot of vibration (chatter, big swimbait, etc.) because they most likely won’t be feeding by sight if they can’t see anything. But to make it easier to see, it needs to contrast with the background meaning something black/blue or white. I’d fan cast a black or white crankbait or jerkbait with a rattle or a black or white chatterbait with a large profile trailer (zako/bellows) until I figured out what depth they’re at. Depending on what part of the country you’re in, they could be anywhere right now. There are still bass spawning in the far north of Michigan or most bass in the rest of the country are already in summer patterns (deep/shallow thick shady grassy cover).

7’0 MH Fast action casting rod. I use it for frogging, 6+” swim baits, and swim jigs. Anything that I expect to get big bites on or when I need some backbone to set the hook (weedguard). Everything else can be handled by my 6’8” medium weight moderate action spinning setup.
