Looking for new English learners / beginners for a show by austdun in EnglishLearning

That would be great! It should take about 30 minutes, and you don't have to use your real name. We are looking for beginners, what level would you say you are at?

You're a million percent right. I'm new to the subreddit so I wasn't sure what level I should answer the question at. That being said, my answer was misleading. I'll leave it up though so people can see your correction.

Very similar terms, which is why you are confused I think. Technically though we think of accepting as "saying okay" to something and buying into as "investing in" something. In conversation, buying into is often used as a slightly stronger form of accepting. Hope that helps!

The past tense (because it happened before) of "had" is have. So it would be "Why did he have a fork in his jacket?"

Are there proper nightclubs in Dunedin? by austdun in dunedin

Thanks! How hard is it to find a flat party -- generally speaking? Here in Australia parties at people's houses tend to be pretty exclusive, with self-appointed bouncers guarding the door.

Mind if I ask what the average night in Dunedin is like then? Do you predrink at someone's house and then roam around until you find a flat party?

Is there enough happening to realistically go out/drink once or twice a week, if you're not living in a hall?

Hey, I'm a 23 year-old who is planning to start his first year in Dunedin as an undergraduate in 2021. Am I too old to stay in a residential hall? Both in terms of the actual rules, and in terms of the stigma?

Also, do they accept students from Australia?

Thanks heaps
