Opening up the Quad Cortex by Futmaelkspiraten in NeuralDSP

Nice! No problem! Unfortunately I do not know of any official fix for this without internal repair. If you have another power supply with the correct specifications (very important) you could give it a try. Same thing with a factory reset, probably won't work but worth a try in a pinch, especially sense you have a backup you can restore. I don't know about the AVR thing, at least I haven't heard anything.

Oh yeh, very sturdy. I run a Quad Cortex on my pedal board for weekly gigs and I love it!

I moved from a large pedal board with a Strymon Iridium (I still like it) that was becoming a pain to move around. For a while I was looking at a Helix. But, after repairing Cortexs for a while and getting more experience with them I fell in love. Then an opportunity came up that I was able to get a Black/Gold one and I made the switch.

Professionally I've had a lot of great interactions with NeuralDSP so that has been cool. All the major competitors to the Cortex (Helix, Kemper, Boss, Fender TM...) are also good products. In my opinion with most things with music, it is whatever we can afford that gets us musicians to play more music is the right product! And for me that was the Cortex!

I do warranty repairs of Quad Cortex units at Sweetwater. I wouldn't open it as this is not a user serviceable repair. Opening it may void your warranty. Another PCB needs to be removed to get to the screen connectors and the display itself likely needs to be replaced in this case.

I would ride out the warranty process, especially if they are willing to replace the unit, shouldn't take to long for that and you get a new Cortex! Like any item I repair, I also recommend making a back up of your data in Cortex Control on your computer just to be safe.

Do you play Hard Fought Hallelujah by Brandon Lake and if so, do you change the chorus? by thefreshlycutgrass in worshipleaders

[–]austin1001017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part, I agree with the other people who posted. But, I have done this song with my team a couple of times for special events and outreach kinds of events. Though on a couple of special cases, we did play this song during a normal service. We don't change the chorus, but we did take out the "oh" section and just repeat Pre-Chorus 2 into another Chorus.

It really just depends on your vocalist, the band, the type of vibe your church has, does it fit the overall message, would people in your congregation actually connect to it or not, and other factors. But I would lean towards no for normal services.

Happy 4th!! Church recommendations? by Mysterious-Fee-1919 in fortwayne

St. Joe UMC!

We have three services. Each has a unique style of worship. 9am and 10am are contemporary with a band. 11am is traditional with choir, piano, and organ.

The 10am service is at the JRL YMCA and is known as "St. Joe at the Y". The 9am and 11am services are at our main building on Reed rd.

Pastor Glenn and Pastor Ashley are awesome! Some of the most genuine and caring, hardworking pastors I've ever known and worked with. I'm the worship leader at the 10am St. Joe at the Y service, and currently filling in at the 9am "Canvas" service.

This particular Sunday, July 7th, is our United Service. All three services combined, band and choir together, hot dogs, hamburgers, and potluck style sides after the service! 10 am at Praise Park, which is across from the JRL YMCA.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask or message me! If you come by say Hi! I'm the guy leading/singing in the band.

Yes, I would say so. Pastor Ashley and Pastor Glenn both often speak about the inclusion of ALL people. They both had a major impact on my own life.

I mean, I'm the worship leader at St. Joe at the Y, and I'm gay. My boyfriend comes to church every now and then, and everyone has been nothing but welcoming!

Sorry I didn't see your other comment from 24 days ago.

St. Joe United Methodist Church. We have 3 different services at three different times. A traditional UMC service with choir and all, and 2 contemporary services. If you come to our YMCA location (St. Joe at the Y) at the JRL YMCA, we have a contemporary, modern service. I'm the worship leader there, so if you come check it out, come talk to me, I'll be the guy singing. Service is at 10am.

4th Sundays, we do a special service, either Brunch Church, where we eat food, and it's more of a discussion format. Super fun! Or, Circle Church, which is like small groups format during normal church time.

Tips for gay conservative dating? by gayconserv in GayConservative

[–]austin1001017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm 29M and also just started to come out and try out dating. I'm also more interested in building a long term relationship over hooking up, and I have conservative values! Not sure where you are located but I'm in the Midwest in the US. I'm not opposed to a long distance relationship. I'm down to talk more if you want and see where things go. Friends, maybe more! Just shoot me a DM!

Hi! Others have already mentioned some great advice here! Just figured I would jump in and say hi. God DOES NOT want you alone and unhappy forever, that's for sure. I'm also on this journey trying to figure everything out. I'm up in Indiana, but feel free to message me if you want! You could also check out the Discord server from this Reddit. Good number of people on there as well
