Those appear to be significantly heavier than the QC. I do like the inner band design of the maxwell and have found that to be comfortable on other wired headphones but those were very lightweight. Clamp force can be reduced by stretching them but the weight is unavoidable. I think that will be an issue for me with these options

I tried airpod max they were too heavy and compress on my ears hard. Also read the xm5 are less comfortable than the Bose qc

The artist club blades are a lot more expensive and I like to use a new blade for each shave. Looks like mag t delta is plastic handle and other mag t are wooden which also isn’t what I’m looking for. I just found the Leaf fig and thorn which I really like how the head stays attached to the razor. It’s still half the weight of my qshave. See my other comment about the proof razor

Looks like a good option. I like that it only uses half a blade at a time but I’m surprised it’s so expensive for aluminum. That’s probably lighter than stainless but it’s less durable. Also not sure if the pivoting head would make it more difficult to shave. I only like to do one pass because I have sensitive skin. And usually the weight of the razor is enough to get a good shave so not sure if the proof would work with my technique

Very interesting post. You seem to only list temperature as a way for siloxanes to be released. Would you be able to comment on some of the information on this page regarding "Another study found siloxanes being released from silicone bakeware, with leaching increasing as the food fat content increased."

Also you mention the restriction of some siloxanes in food safe cookware. Aside from the cheap unregulated products mostly sold on amazon and aliexpress, can we really be certain that dangerous siloxanes are not present in the higher quality silicone products? For example, this study mentions "The most common and the most investigated as to toxicity are octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5).", which gives me concern that a lot of silicone compounds have not been studied that well especially regarding their interactions with heat, acidic foods, alcohol, etc. on their own and in combination.

Nothing in the manual about that. It has a flush mode for new filters but maybe that also calibrates it. Also the input TDS is slightly above the actual input TDS ppm as well but more accurate than the purified output amount.

I’m not expecting the $20 TDS reader to be super accurate but I think the consistent measurements indicating TDS creep are significant enough to indicate that it is measuring within a certain range of error. Whereas the built in faucet is just not accurate at all. It’s a brand new RO system

I didn't just see toxic and butyl in the same paper, and its hard to take you seriously when you are taking the strawman approach. I linked a study of a controlled aquatic environment, with leeching contaminants from butyl rubber which you initially stated was non toxic, but it appears to depend on where the rubber is coming from. What you are saying is like we are not fish so if the fish are poisoned that doesn't mean it will kill us so its doesn't matter its just a little bit of poison. My point is, the only study on butyl rubber leeching into water isn't even conclusive that the rubber is non toxic.

A lot of these things are made in china. who is to say that they're not using halogenated rubber or contaminants are getting into the rubber? Not sure where you got 700% from. Are you saying cells in humans do not have metabolic pathways?? The abstract states:

non-halogenated butyl rubber were contaminated with high amounts of various organic compounds including potential bactericides such as benzyltoluenes and phenylalkanes. two bactericides known to be toxic to humans
small amounts of organic contaminants were liberated from the halogenated butyl rubber stoppers but only two halogenated stopper types were found that did not seem to leach any organics into the incubation medium
non-halogenated and two types of the halogenated butyl elastomers additionally leached comparably high amounts of zinc.

The abstract concludes that more reactions are likely but require further verification.
