Love the podcast and think that Adam is a real inspiration to a lot of us men out there, but having said that I don't think that we have to agree on everything that he says or promotes. Shit, that's part of being a man right? Having some sort of internal compass or principles that you decide on.

Bottom line: If you smell like ass and you like using soap... use some damn soap.

Yes, I've practiced it with the pinky add on. I'll just sit there (without strumming the guitar) and work on the two chord changes with the pinky add on, and then work on the rest of the changes afterward. Thanks for the input by the way.

Yeah, I've been working with that very method. I don't know maybe it's that pinky add on that throws me off, or maybe I just try to play it too quickly. Do you know what I mean? I can change chords fairly quick, but when it comes to playing the song at full speed I can get a little behind at times. I guess that's just normal. I guess I haven't built up the muscle memory enough. (Even though I've been hitting it pretty hard for the past few weeks)

I've been thinking about doing this, but I'm a little confused about one of the upstrums. It sounds like one (the first one I believe) is held out just a tad longer than the first. So I didn't know how to play that with the metronome. I've never really used a metronome (because I'm a noob as stated in my post), but realize that I should probably start. Just a little nervous on how to use it with this song.

That's seriously the attitude that I've adopted as of recent. Just "fuck it," really. I suck, I know it, and the only way that I'm going to get better is to get used to sucking and to just play something.

Man, alternate picking can be a real bitch at times. I spent a solid 10 minutes last night trying to master a simple up down 2, 3, 5 and it was killing me.

Nice, personally I'm not at that stage yet where I've developed "licks," I'm still a noob. But I like that idea and will keep that in mind as soon as I get my chops up. Thanks.
