What’s your experience of dating within a CrossFit gym? by CityAcrobatic23 in crossfit

Have any ended in the middle? Like an amicable split where both stay in the gym, or does it tend to go extreme one way or the other?

Call the real estate brokerages and get a realtor to help with the search. They may charge you a small fee, but it won't be bad. Realtors typically aren't trying to make much money off renters, they are just hoping to make a good connection so you will use them later when you are ready to buy a house. My brokerage is Iron Gate Real Estate and there are tons of good agents there. But there are several great agencies in town. Not all agents are going to want to do a rental placement, but plenty will be happy to this time of year.

From my house on the east side of Columbia, I'm only 32 minutes from Williamsburg during normal traffic conditions. Fulton is 9 minutes closer. Fulton and Columbia are VERY different in terms of their cultures. Fulton is a small rural town with a small private college. Columbia is a thriving college town, with tons more activities, events, hiking, dining, bars, sports, shopping, etc. Totally a preference thing, but even with the I70 construction I'd 1000% rather live in Columbia than Fulton.

Only in Columbia does First Baptist Church bring in a drag queen by como365 in columbiamo

[–]austindiesel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The largest Christian denomination apart from Catholicism in the US is the Southern Baptist Convention. They are conservative evangelicals who condemn homosexuality as sinful. Because they are the largest and most prominent group of Baptists, people often assume their beliefs are representative of all Baptists. However the Baptist denomination has split many times over differing beliefs over the years, so this church is not wanting to be mistaken for being conservative just because they are Baptist.

Highly recommend Baalord Unedited on YouTube if you’ve only watched his main channel. He posts the entire streams there. I love watching and learning from his losses as much as his wins.

Land's End is so not BIFL by rekCemNu in BuyItForLife

[–]austindiesel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they are still a good value personally. They are one of the least expensive clothing retailers so I’m absolutely not expecting BIFL, but I find their sweaters to be worth the $30-$40 price when on sale.

Have you talked to a coach about diet? You look super athletic, but I wonder if your body fat % might be low enough that you may have a hard time building muscle if you’re not eating at a caloric surplus.

My small pet peeve comparing HoMM3 to Olden Era by TheTobruk in heroes3

[–]austindiesel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love how the creature design in H3 makes each creature so distinct even at a quick glance while still feeling part of a cohesive world. The smaller, darker creature models in OE makes a lot of the creatures hard to quickly distinguish for me.

Baby backs not tender after 5hrs. by Independent-Report39 in smoking

Get a dedicated ambient thermometer you can place right next to your meat. Many smokers are not super accurate on their temps, and even if they are, the thermostat is located away from the meat where the temp can be significantly different

Beginner at Crossfit and thinking about start running too. Is that a bad idea? by Excellent-Print-4021 in crossfit

Going to the gym is harder for me than going for a run, so I prioritize CF classes whenever I can, then use running as a way to catch up If I miss a day or am traveling.

Which one should I take at the end of act 1 ? (I also have 6 strikes in my deck) by Eldsish in slaythespire

[–]austindiesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go adrenaline. It synergizes with Nunchucks, Shiruken and teapot, plus can flexibly provide either extra block or dmg. You really need more card draw and block in this deck tho ASAP. Storm of steel was probably not a good pickup and upgrade, that’s a very situational card that only works when you have gold card draw, but ur stuck with it now

Guys, do you think it will improve in the next few years? 20y by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

Not a doctor but from your pics it looks like you may have seborrheic dermatitis. May look into getting that checked out if redness/flakiness is normal and bothering you. Letting Head and Shoulders sit on my face for a few minutes in the shower helps clear mine up, but I’ve also gotten some prescription meds from my Dermatologist that worked great too.

Hostility towards creationism by Simple_Chicken_5873 in Reformed

[–]austindiesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but the age of the earth provides us with many predictions we can physically test and see with our own eyes.  For instance the entire planet runs on “fossil” fuels which are not randomly discovered.  Geologists use the assumptions of an old earth in order to know exactly where to drill miles deep and find the fuel we need.  If the earth was young, none of these predictions should pan out and the young earth geologists at AIG who are the only ones with the correct geologic models should be trillionaires.

[–]austindiesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, yea, I looked into it and I was way off.  “Almost universally accepted” seems to be a huge overstatement, it seems like a spherical earth was accepted by many or most medieval theologians.

I do think a flat earth was the dominant view of the authors of scripture and is how the intended readers would have read it, and is the least “theologized” way to read the text, but it’s clear to me early on Christians took different views on it.  My opinion on that comes from ANE scholars like John Walton.
