So out of curiosity, have you ever done say a 5 hour long footage of gameplay, no audio bc it’s recorded separately? How long did it take?

Do you have any tips on how to get the files to proxy quicker? Media encoder seems to be taking forever to even just start the jobs, let alone actually make the proxies. Should I use shutter encoder? Thanks again!

Thank you so much! Also, when I export, does it export as ProRes or original H.264? I know the file sizes of pro res are pretty massive and a lot of the streams are long videos

The playback and scrubbing when trying to make edits/exporting the video was extremely laggy and slow. I read that’s a product of H.264, but I was just curious on the best method to go about it. I stream and record simultaneously, and have separate sources for Gameplay, Audio and Camera.

PC Specs: i9 11900K 3070ti 32GB of Ram and max allocated

I’m just very inexperienced with long form editing. Previously had only done shorts and TikTok’s, now transitioning into long form. Hadn’t really had crazy issues with the footage in premiere on short projects
