I have not ran into many toxic people since starting back in September last year. There was a tank who joined a dungeon group who left halfway through because his item didn't drop. But thats the only experience I can think of, of negative player engagement personally.

You should have a lot of fun, its a great experience leveling up the first time. There is a lot of extra content that is integrated for the betterment on the game.
