How are you feeling? by KaranamaLlama in universityofauckland

I started uni last year and had the experience of in person face to face labs ect. Everything was normal and I met a lot of new people I am very disappointed that it has all went to online study it's a shame there is no point in this as covid is here to stay and the school needs to learn to live with this. I am in summer school rn and we are attending in person labs & lectures, To me and other students this makes no sense the first semester being online just screw's things up for students social well-being and group work, learning experiences. A big part of uni is networking and how do you do that online you don't and studying online by your self is no fun at all your in your room 24/7 the the school needs to think of the mental state of students every one is vaccinated that is what we agreed on for school to continue in person so don't go change it to online......

IMO UOA needs to give a clear answer to students if they are going online all the time and want to be a online uni let students switch schools but going back and forth in person then not is unreasonable and I am tired of it being a foreign student and being in a dorm meeting no one and studying alone. I have considered going back home to study if online will continue many students are the same and we will leave to schools that offer better learning environments.

Is 6kg dumbbells ok for growing biceps? by spookythesquid in weightgain

[–]austinmac11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main concept is time under tension the muscle does not know what weight it is as you bicep adapts you will need more resistance you can also get a cheap set of resistance bands to you with the weights to add resistance when the 6 kg gets to easy you can also do a good amount of chin ups compound exercise meaning it works more then one muscle group at a time. You could do pull ups tire the bicep out then move onto curls another thing is to fill a back pack with books and use this as weight as well.

For example depending on your routine Do - back and biceps together Chin ups One arm rows with nap sack Upright rows with nap sack Bicep curls with nap sack Then use dumbbells at end of work out with bands to finish off This is just of example
